This could also be the reason why you melted a piston before.

It could break and not damage the cylinder, Nikasil is very hard, the aluminum piston is soft. If it was relatively low speed when it broke it could easily just jam up in the piston groove. Stranger things have happened.

Fortnine.ca
I have yet to find a place in Canada that sells tires cheaper. Give them a shot.

No, you want it there, otherwise it can leak past the threads.
One other thing you can check is the valve core inside the end of the spark plug threads, make sure it is tight.
That is if you have a valve core tool.

Oh and is the o-ring on the spark plug threads on your tester? that can screw ya up. (been there before)

The piston looked low in the bore in pictures, but I couldn't tell if it has a recessed lip on the head.
Figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
Do you have a car you could test the compression tester in? may be easier to access the spark plugs?

Oh boy.
On the twin spree, I had issues of not having enough air space in the rad for thermal expansion. The pump worked so well that if I didn't keep the rad completely full it would draw air in naturally from the air space in the rad as it pumped. It would either be a compromise; fill the rad completely and it would be fine and not get air bubbles till it boiled over from lack of air space. Or it would just slowly fill the heads with air. Solution was to put a expansion chamber on the rad to let me fill the rad and give expansion room.
On my Dio if the battery isn't completely charged, it will overheat. I have the MVT ignition and if the system voltage drops to 11v it will happily still run, all the lights work, but the pump can't fight the natural thermal pumping and it will dead head the pump and puke coolant in a flash. Charged battery no problems.
I run the Bosch brushless pump.

Started doing video's for those interested.
I kinda flounder and have no idea what I am doing so any constructive feedback on how to make them better is appreciated.
I also have no idea how to edit stuff.

Hey 90GTV, just future reference, if you don't terminate cracks in things ( drill holes at the ends of the crack) before you weld the cracks will continue to spread thru the new weld. Other than that looks good!

It runs, I need to make my motor mount like the malossi style so i can get an exhaust on it, but I am so far pleased with the outcome...

Shortened the engine mount. I could have went about 3/8 shorter.. but this is much better than stock. Almost same wheelbase as my Dio at this point. Front caliper was cross threaded and the bolt broken off.. this got a helicoil. Built entire engine from scraps that were in bins.. no parts needed to buy! DR 70cc Cast kit, Malossi Intake and reeds, Malossi Clutch, Polini bearings and seals. 24mm Dell, Malossi Ignition.. All just chilling in bins. This will go in for the time being. I also did some front end work, deleted the speedo drive and made aluminum spacers for the wheel and axle to help with the diet plans. Does anyone know if they make a manual petcock for these? Leads on the euro headlights? Color codes for Malossi paint?

have to understand their big market is dirt bikes where a cylinder costs $800+
That said if you had a worked bore that was ported they may be a better option than new.
