So ive been thinking about installing 47mm bbk. I was thinking about the piston rings. Most kits people buy probably have cheap rings. Will higher quality (like nataku) rings fit the piston properly?
I cant tell. There are no specs i can find.
Or would it be beneficial to use an entire quality piston that may be lighter? i cant fknd specs for this eithe.
Edit: i know the rings need to be 47mm. But im wondering about them fitting properly with the piston.

Yeah i think its fine. I guarantee theres a million and one cars rolling with worse filters. Ive pulled a filter where chunky gooey stuff poured out the back.
Use a flashlight next time your tank is emptyish and see what the bottom looks like. And run your finger under the bottom lip of the tank. A little rust isnt a problem. The problem is when it gets crusty and chunks start falling.

Have you looked at partsforscooters? Theyre a forum sponsor.
Yes, there are at least 2 ways.
one is to always keep the tank full, using only ethanol free gas.
The other is to treat your new tank with the same sealer you would treat an old tank.

I would start by checking gas flow as he said. If thats good i would stick a washer (or move the clip) under the needle to richen the part throttle mixture just to see if it gets better or worse. Thats something super easy to do.

All that sucks.
The filter doesnt look to bad to me? Are there chunks im not seeing? Gas usually has a "straw" color and thats what im seeing.
Have you pulled the gas cap and inspected with a flashlight?
As for cleaning the tank. The best stuff on the market is probably por-15. It requirea several steps of pouring chemicals in to clean the tank out. Might be better to get a new tank if theyre cheap.

Ive never experienced belt slip myself. So this is a guess. Maybe black streaks on the pulleys?
What all did you do with the bbk? Did you change jets?
You said 1/8th turn on the carb, idle mix probably wont help with a running issue.
What inhibitor equipment did you remove?
Also, we need more information, speeds, throttle position, etc. This started immediatly after the bbk?

Its a pretty typical failure mode for a spinner. When they let go they sure do fly. Its usually spectacular, even on a small scale. Its made worse because a builder may choose an inferior size shaft/hub/clamp/etc. To save the weight to have a bigger motor/weapon/etc.
I remember one 3lb event (i wish i could remember where a video was at) a bot with a skillsaw blade as a horozontal spinner let go, bounced around the arena, came back and knocked the bot into the pushout, resulting in a loss.

Typically people remove the choke. measure the length of the tit. Apply 12v to the connector for 5 min. Then re-measure the length of the tit, it should be longer. This is what i did.
If you must use a multimeter. Check the resistance at the two pins of the connector. Im not sure what that should be, its a heating element so it should have *at least* a few ohms.

I was suprised to see fire too. And drones. Neither seemed too effective, but it looks good on tv (and hypershock i think was knocking the drone out of the sky with a rake was awesome). And thats important since its a Tv show and requires ratings.
They all have to be outrageous and unique in order to get on the show at all.

Yeah. I misremembered what it was about. Sorry.
Im having a hard time figuring out your problem though.
I just cut the end of the plastic tube off and installed the mirror. I dont have any problems with my throttle. I took some pictures of what i did. I wish i could find them but i cant.

I do. I just trimmed the nub off. The left was no problem. The right had that closed off plastic cap. I just cut the cap. There was enough handlebar for mine to fit. 90gtvert has a good write up on installing them somewhere. I was pretty sure I went through all the posts on this board last night looking for info. I'll look again but if you can find it please link. Here it is. Its actually just a write up on trimming the grip, sorry. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/526/install-bar-end-mirrors

I do this on a small scale. Ive competed against some of these competitors.
Theyve been saying on fb that everyone should write the channels who air battlebots and tell them how happy you are to have battlebots back and request furthur seasons.
Battlebots (televised combat robot un general) has been rife with legal challanges so its not always easy to get networks to air. Legal problems are what killed Battlebots initially.
