I was working on getting my motor put back together when my son asked about going for a ride, as you can imagine we did. We got about 3 miles from home when his throttle quit working, we pulled into a parking lot to investigate and found the throttle cable snapped. And since I knew it would be awhile to get a new one in we locked his scooter up and he climbed on the back of mine to come home. We hooked the trailer up to my truck and went back to get it. I know I'm rambling a little but long story short I took the throttle off Franknstein and put it on his scoot so he could still ride. And since I give him parts for his scoot I knew momma wouldn't argue to much about me spending money on a new throttle for mine and I also concluded that there were a few other things I've been wanting so why not get them now.

I got my new throttle cable and choke assembly ordered today, I'm hoping they won't take forever to arrive. I'm also hoping to get my motor reassembled by Tuesday or Wednesday evening but I've still gotta wait for the new parts to get here before I can :burnout: . I also done some more cutting on my cvt cover to allow more air flow thru it for cooling, I still need to get a fresh coat of paint on it but I'll post some pics soon.

Like I said it still needs a fresh coat of paint but I LIKE it. It looks good and its gonna keep the air flowing REAL good I believe.

It helps clutch temps and lifespan alot Aaron. With just the venting I had last year you could reach in and touch the clutch bell after racing and it was only luke warm to the fingers.

I just ordered a naraku (not sure how to spell) clutch, bell, and cnc high speed vario. I ordered from www.racingplanetusa.com on the 22nd, so I hope these goodies show up soon. I need a new belt too. The number on the belt is 792 x 16.something. They have a naraku belt that is a 788 Would that be too small.

Its 4mm to short Aaron but I'm not sure if that will hurt ya too much if at all. I got the topend put back on tonight and checked squish and came up with 0.84mm, looking like its gonna run a little better than it did last year. We'll have to wait and see how much better till May.

We still need to meet up in real life and talk about our scoots and not online.
Also a Q?
What is the clutch nut size? Is it 28mm? What is the vario nut size?
I still need to get a impact wrench and sockets to install the new clutch, bell, and variator when they arrive. I'm going to get a air one because my brother already has a compressor.
Do you think I should get a new torque spring for it?
Anyway... We totally need to ride :wheelie:

Clutch nut should be 24mm and vari could be either 14 or 17mm. I don't recommend an impact to put them back on, taking them off ok but not reassembling it due to it could strip the crank threads.

I got my motor up and running yesterday and when I pulled it outside to take it for a ride the throttle got stuck and drug me across my driveway, hit my wife's new trailblazer and broke the front plastics so I'll have to run it without them. The important thing is that its up and running, I just have to get it tuned in again.
