i love the shade of blue that the plastics originally were, but i figured it will be easier to match the plastics to the rims than the other way around. alot better to do that than mess up a good set of aluminum rims. :banghead: also Brent i've been meaning to ask you where you got the front wheel bearings for your "how-to" on changing them? i don't know if the rims need them but its better to change them now while everythings apart than to forget about it and put it all back together and find out it really needs them. then i'd be alittle upset with myself.

I got my bearings from PartsForScooters I believe. Just looked at the numbers on the old bearing to see what I needed. You mnight be able to find better quality bearings by searching for your model number and looking for SKF or something, although these have held up well.

ok thanks. they really aren't that bad looking of a rim, in my opinion anyway. they came on the vento frame i picked up for $50. didn't do bad on that deal after all.

Yup, go red on the plastics to match the rims. Red is always faster. (Sorry Brent...)

well i got all the extra brackets cut off and ground down. welded a handle in the back at the end of the frame tubes, put a frame brace in and essentially got it ready to paint. its coming along pretty good imo, so i'm pretty happy with the progress on the drag scoot so far. now its time to get it into primer and start on the engine. so far i've just been using and scavaging stuff laying around the garageand the plastics i got from 2strokd. not too expensive yet, which makes me and more importantly the misses happy. that keeps her from pulling the plug on this drag racing stuff.

well guys and gals, christmas came early for me this year. the parts i ordered were delivered today. :itshere: now i've gotta say that the polini kit and the belt are for my rally. but depending on how it performs on the rally i'll order another 1 for the dragster. but those awesome looking bars and riser are for the dragster and jeremy @ enviromoto was only partially correct that i'd like them. i love the look of them! i also got some mods done on the plastics lastnight but no peeking till its totally completed. sorry, i really like the way it looks so far but i don't want to show it till i finish it. i'll post pics of it when i feel like its done enough to show off.

i just reviewed the photos and they don't do any justice for the color of paint i went with. and i should've put the pics of the rims taped up before the after paint pics. also looks like the resizing weren't accepted. sorry

I moved the taped pics up for you. Otherwise, I see no problem. Thanks for all the pics.
Paint looks good. I like the color. Filling in the fuel filler area definitely makes the back look more sleek. This is gonna be one badass hot rod Triton when it's all done!
