Just bought one off of craigslist. I talked the guy down to $1150, so I'm happy. He even delivered it for free! Ill take pictures tomorrow when it's light out so you all can see.
It's a 1994. Last year they made them without a speed governor. Has just over 8400 miles on it, and it runs great. It sounds great too, like a really giant 2 stroke scooter ;D

I had two of those bikes. A 2002, and a 2009. They are great bikes :thumb: I bought both of them new and did not have any problems out of either one of them. the engines are bullet proof. Very well made. You'll get a lot of enjoyment and great riding out of them :riding: Keep the maintanace up on it, and it will run forever. I had my 02 for 7 years, and not one problem. ;D Still wish I had mine But we had a baby, so I had to get rid of it. I would defitnetly buy another one.

Congrats! I rarely hear an owner give one a bad review, so I think you're gonna enjoy it.

Tach goes up to 16K I'm doing all the usual stuff to it before I ride it. Like, new air filter, oil change, etc. I went to clean the air filter yesterday, and it fell apart in my hands. 16 year old foam does that I guess I also went ahead and ordered a sprocket kit for it. I plan on taking this thing cross-country, so I got some sprockets that should lower my RPM's on the highway. Gas mileage is always better

I got my old Ninja 250 back a few weeks ago.I'm doing evil things to it; Installing a Yamaha RD250 engine in it!! Ive got a hand built header with a Yosh can if you're interested? A 15-42 sprocket ratio is good for highway use...

Nice one Josh! Can't wait to see how that turns out. How much you want for the Yosh can? Is it a slip-on, or a full exhaust?

So I've concluded that the original owner of this thing was a total moron. The wiring harness was totally mangled, so I traced it all back and the guy wired in the headlight to the brake light circuit. Literally by attaching a wire directly from the headlight, to the tail light. The horn fuse blows everytime you start the bike. After putting on a new wiring harness, the headlight doesnt work. This, I found out, is caused by the fact that he put a 2002 fusebox on a 1994 bike. They changed fuseboxes in 1995, and in 1994 and earlier, the fusebox housed the headlight relay. So what it comes down to is, the original fusebox probably died. He bought a replacement, but it was a 2002, so the headlight didnt work. Then he started mangling the hell out of the wiring harness. After fixing a bunch of stuff so far, I finally got to take it for a ride today. I absolutely love it. I was doing about 70 down the street in like 6 secs, when a car pulled out in front of me Luckily I'm smart enough to watch for stuff like that, so I saw him about half a block ahead of time. Still. What is going through peoples brains when they pull out in front of you on a motorcycle? Or on a scooter for that matter.
