I think the 180 degree turn wouldn't be too good for the mixture. I could be wrong but the change of directions would decrease throttle response and hp I assume. Is their a way to hang it off the back?

So I put the S6 intake on and... The infamous flat spot at 30mph is gone!! It gets to 40mph uphill and 50 on the flat (according to my butt, not the gps) if i tuck, but considering from what I been thru Ill take it. Its needs to be retuned, it feels like its wanting more RPM's. Before I dive into CVT tuning I might just pull the trigger on the Malossi OR set up I need to think it over for another day or two. Im pretty sure I will do it. A guy here in Berkeley had a prebug with a LV pipe, Malossi OR and stock jug cruising at 53mph all day. Also, Im still on the fence about keeping this carb or going to a Dell, ruled out the OKO/PWK. The only thing Im concerned about is the size of the carb, compared to a stock one. Does anyone have a pic of a carb like this www.partsforscooters.com/Carburetor_50cc-2?sc=34&category=133078 side by side with a Dellorto 19??

I've been dealing with other things in my spare time like that friggin truck i bought (thats not passing smog right now), so I havent had time or money to continue the jog project. But today I took it out for a spin and as slow as it feels comapred to my Elite it still hit a GPS verified 55mph top speed. After I dropped the roller weights to 4.5g (4-5-4-5-4-5) it feels even better may try 4g later on today and see how that goes. I can also here a rattle noise coming from the CVT It may be the torque driver, it may be the variator. Also, after riding i feel like this CVT gets hotter than it should. Oh well, I dont wana spend the time figuring it out. Im just going to say "F" it and pull the trigger on the Malossi OR CVT next paycheck, and take it from there.

Are you still using your swiss cheese style CVT cover?

tsimi I am not using that same one because it does not fit on this motor but I did give this one sort of a "swiss cheese" treatment. Ill post pics later. So I pulled the variator off and found this I think I found the source of that noise/ vibration. LOL Those cheap rollers melted to the inside of my cheap variator. Needless to say that vari is now trash... I guess this is what happens when you practice wheelies from a dead stop for 2 hours straight lol. Anyways this will make taking the plunge into Malossi OR world that much of an easier choice.

Holy Lucky you pulled that variator and had a look. Unbalanced spinning can cause all sorts of damage. You don't use any grease for the rollers? So that goo is melted roller weights and not some left over grease?

tsimi that is indeed left over roller weights that melted. I dont use any grease on the rollers at all.

Update!! So I finally did it and pulled the trigger on the Malossi OR!!! Feels good to do that and move forward on this project. Next will be a Dell 19 soon after I get this OR installed and setup.

It doesnt need to be that fast just enough to keep with traffic on the California roads. I dont want to be in the way. So a 65mph top speed and 55 uphill should suffice.
