I used Krylon myself. Seemed to work pretty good.

Ok, so I have a few short term goals for this scooter. I would love to buy some round guages to mount around where your knees are on the panels and where the cup holders usually are, maybe a temperature guage and a tachometer and get this of this funky looking trail tech tach.

Well, this afternoon i sprayed the 3rd and final coat of the silver on my first 3 panels. And it already looks beautiful!! My idea in my head right now is to paint the handlebar panel a sparkly red, same with the underneath panels, underneath the frame where your feet go and the panel right behind the front tire. I also think I'm going to do silver forks with either a shadow black rims or silver rims. The exhaust may be done red, and get rid of the rust on the pipe. And then the engine, I think if I go with black rims I'll do the engine in black as well. Once again, this is all a rough draft in my head, I hope you guys are enjoying watching this project as much as I am stay tuned!

Tomorrow I'll spray the red, post pics ofcourse, and Monday will be clear coat for the silver panels. I used Dupli Color Engine Spray paint. I think I'll try out a metallic red rustoleum and see which I get better results from!

Have no spark, again. Ordered a new shator, if that fails to work my next attempt is a cdi.
I tested both wires coming from the stator with bullet connectors, the trigger wire had .05-.07 and the output wire had 0.0.

Decided today that I would pull out the heat gun and tackle my seriously faded black panels. This is is a perfect example of before and after! This is another panel after it was done. The only one that's left now is the panel that holds the headlight assembly and front trunk, but I left my keys in my ex's car when she dropped me off at my dads, so I can't get the trunk panel off ;(

How does that work with the heat gun and the plastics? Those old plastics are looking like new!! I've done it to mine as well. Gotta be careful to avoid warping them. I'm assuming that it's just melting the faded plastic to a degree making the old blend in. Or it's magic.
