Sorry, generally solid green and solid black are grounds. That looped wire does sound familiar. There's one in the rear of the scoot that's for the alarm and the one up front I dunno what it does. I chopped up the wiring in the scoot that had that and made newer controls work on it, so it wouldn't do me much good to cut it out of the loom and tape to look now.

Good morning guys.. I know its sat. but i'll ask anyway... Will too small of carb main jet make the scoot idle, but bog/die with ANY gas? slide looks brand new.. needle in middle and looks fine..(2nd from top, 2nd from bottom). no visible air leaks to date.. when 1st cranked, she revs to the max., LOOK AT THE THROTTLE, IT DIES. plug at idle looks dark.. pj should be good

Usually you can give it a little gas without it dying for a main jet issue. Even when I've fixed a couple scoots with clogged main jets, I could go maybe 4-5MPH at just above idle, but it died under throttle. Too small of a main shouldn't just die like that. Are you sure the main jet and the atomizer passage into the carb are clear? Blow some air up through there if you have any doubt. You should feel it pass from the main all the way up to the opening in the bore.

Thanks for the reply, Oh yeah, this thing is crystal clear and clean now.. I have cleaned, etc. like 10 times. All the passages are clean, atomizers.. David swears he rode this for 2 weeks before the cvt issue, and that it bogged down then with much throttle. Thought i found a air leak at the choke, sealed it but didnt fix it.... Waas hoping you'd say jet it out to a 76 and it'd be fine....lol

I was thinking it may have had some real light rollers in. I thought it was reving to high but the belt has a long way to go yet

If it's revving too high, lighter rollers or a stiffer contra aren't the answer. You could try heavier rollers and see if it improves, that's pretty simple and won't take long if you have any rollers around that fit.
