Hey guys... Figured i'd place this here instead of a new thread... Has anyone bought or used a s6 roller tunning kit?... If so, how do you swap the sleeves out?.. The 5.5 rollers has sleeves on them, need to use the 4.5... Have more sleeves coming this week also.. Thanks for any help on this small but frustrating issue...lol

Hey guys, Doing some roller tuning i hope...Do you have to do the var mod on these to get the FULL belt travel?.. Stuck in some 4.5's and went to "2nd" very fast(no 1st), going to try the 4's now but the belt is still 3-4mm away from the top of the var. (not going to mod this, going to give back today after the spring/roller upgrade) put in a white malossi contra, green malossi flys.(scoot is stock)(this brand(m-80?) has a constant vibration, etc. that would kill my patience, everything rattles, handling is terrible, even to scared to release the grips like i do on the kymco's. Thank you guys for any input on these var's, rollers.........

With a stock vari, you would likely need to mod it to get full travel and to get the belt all the way down in the vari. For the latter, an older belt that's worn down to 15-16mm can be used to get the belt into 1st gear easier. Wouldn't do that to a customer's scoot, but just info for ya.
Adjust the idle mix to wherever it is revving the highest. Then adjust the idle speed wherever it runs OK, preferably without the rear tire spinning or at least spinning very slowly if it is.

I use br8hs or br8hix. 6 is a bit hot. I'd think he must have way too much gas or oil to be fouling a 6 series.

Hey guys.. A mikuni carb.. If you hold your hand over the inlet and the rpm's rise, Is that rich?.. Any good jet shops for these carbs?

I get my jets from jetsrus.com. Fast shipping. Mains are VM11/22.
If you are covering the inlet, you are cutting off air creating a richer mixture. Try turning the mix screw in a bit and see if it picks up.

Actually, i have had the mix screw and needle all over the board. Finally got it to take gas a few times, then it'd want to die when given any throttle.. Was trying to figure out if it's lean or rich, so david can get some jets ordered. Was starting right up and running, then started acting up again. Found an air leak at the carb cap, that helped along witht the oem airbox back on, then that's when i had to cover the inlet w/o the airbox....

Well, with the airbox on see if it helps to cover the snorkel a little or try removing the snorkel to see if anything improves. That would tell you more of what you need to know at this point. See if either way will let you rev it.
