Question for you guys I'm working on gutting the speedo assembly for the trail tech but I need to fill it with something like epoxy to bring the level up flush with the rest of the cluster any ideas on a product. Not sure if this is a great idea or not, but I'll put it out till a better one pops up anyway. Spray foam. I bought some the better part of a decade ago to fill a panel and it turned out pretty stiff. I think it was by DAP, but I can't recall 100%. I'm guessing it won't need to hold up to much pressure/weight so maybe it would work and be a lot cheaper than buying a bunch of epoxy. I don't think it would accept any sort of finish though, so if you will see it it would have to be coated with epoxy or something and then finished. A thin coating may also make it stronger, since I think the main issue would be poking through it, not collapsing just from pressure of normal use with a gauge.

Good thought. I actually made a seat base on my CB750 cafe with spray foam. I also have some fiberglass mat around also. Hmmm... Light bulb. Now I'm on the right track. My brain wasn't working earlier.

Finished product... I ordered a new black one and what do I get silver. Is it really that hard to send the correct items. Sorry I'm venting here I've had about 6 wrong shipments this year so far it's only March. What's wrong with people. Anyway it works great. Tire size for theses 90/90-10 is 1309 and it's perfect with my GPS. I didn't realize how zippy this thing was. Speed test coming soon.

Very smart that bracket idea. Do you have more info on that shock? Maker? Size? Price?

tsimi This shock is made by Forsa. I've used them in the past on clones and I liked them. This one is adjustable in ride height and spring tension. Many sellers have them. I got this during a sale last year for well under $100. It is actually pretty firm as I have it set. The suspension on this front and rear is pretty hard. Took a bit getting used to it, no nose diving under hard braking! www.partsforscooters.com/PFS-Home/Forsa-Shocks

ryan_ottRyan, you upgraded your front brakes to a large disc right? When you drive and then pull the front brake does the handle pulls to the left a bit?

It doesn't pull it stops straight. You can hear the slots in the rotor going by the pads under braking that's about it.
Are you having issues with yours?

My Jog has still the stock 160mm disc but a friend of mine has the exact same Jog as mine and he upgraded his fork, disc and caliper. He installed a 200mm disc and added a brembo caliper. He told me to drive his Scoot and I mentioned that when you pull the brake lever lightly the handle always pulls a bit to the left towards the disc side. If you pull the break lever stronger then "lightly" you probably would fall down because it would pull way too hard to the left. So I told him that and he says yeah that happens because of the stronger break force that is why the big bikes have a disc left and right on the front wheel. To be honest I don't believe that. Something is off with his front setup. But what could it be?

Sounds like either a wheel bearing issue or something loose in the steering stem/neck. I don't see how a bike could pull to one side under braking. A car yes you have 2 wheels but a bike I'm not sure unless something is loose in relation to other components.

Looks OK to me,,Gotta remember the gear case volume is super small compared to a motorcycle/automotive gearbox,,the 75/90 oil has Extreme Pressure additives(sulfur and ash) which should help keep the teeth where they should be..Ive tried moly additives too,but without lab tests(or Brent's tests),its a wash..Guess the best thing to do on a small volume case/high load is change often..
