Hell just JB WELD some reinforcement and put it togather I considered camo duct tape but didn't want to waste my tape. Can't start a good build with shit unfortunately

Looks like this case is poop. Started cleaning it and looks like fractures in it. It had been beat to hell and I noticed some other issues. Don't won't to build on it. I have another complete engine I'm gonna split, didn't want to as it has a great crank and top end. Oh well... Most of my case sets have all kinds of casting flaws that LOOK just like that, even the genuine Yamaha. As far as the sealing surfaces go you can make a thin paper gasket to help seal it up if needed.

I could, but isn't worth the headache to build a new engine just to do a leak down and find out it's garbage.

I think someone here recently said no to the Polini 4 due to internal baffles?
The Roost looks awesome.

The C16 doesn't really "ping". It's just loud. Not to say that it's not a good pipe. It's a bad ass. But do yourself a favor if you get one, don't get the kevlar or carbon because they both peal. I've had both and both pealed.

Finally, the cylinder arrived. Took a little over a month. But scootertuning gave me some store credit for the wait. Now time to match the case to the cylinder...

One (03')thats been ran hard before me and 2+ years with my 250+ lb ass riding it(over 10,000 Km). Other one(05') has just over 1,000 km. Both look like yours or worse. Id wouldn't worry. I would worry if the crack matches on both sides of the case.(aka actual crack in case) This is my 05' case.

I agree as it's just a casting flaw but I had a better looking case sitting around so I started building on it. Your right! If you see the same crack on both case halves you are probably laying on the road somewhere !!!

Got the cases buttoned up today. Wrist bearing didn't want to fit in athena piston had to shave piston a bit. Just need some more $$$$ and I'm going to the TOP of that speed list. Still have to play with cylinder timing and what not then can move on

I am considering taking my mhr furiosa and putting it on the new build. I don't really like the way it runs on my 90, was happier with the hoca cvt on the 90cc. I was told by powersports atv shop the Mhr cvt liked hi revs so we shall see if I can't hit 70+ on this new build, well I will so never mind. I might just stick the motor in that jog hanging in back of garage. No lights no speedo no license NO PROBLEM! Yea, it needs to be that quick, fast
