Looks like Speedy means business. Interesting handle bar setup. Beefy support. I think you've been doing your homework on 2 wheeled dragsters. Keep up the good work, and keep posting pics. I love this kind of project.

Got her to fire up today too :thumb: Sounded pretty beefy without an exhaust on it. Before I even had any gas hooked up to it, I sprayed ether in the carb to see if she'd fire. 3 kicks and it fired up for about 2 seconds and died. I didn't think that was too bad for a first try!

I notice there's some exhaust gaskets in the template section. Doesn't an exhaust gasket have a crush type material (corrugated aluminum?) inside of it? Or can I just use regular gasket material to make my own? I really don't want to spend $13 on 2 gaskets if I can use material I already have.

You should be fine with any high temp gasket material. Looks cool! Keep it up man

The only time I use gaskets anymore is for the stock style setup with an o-ring. Otherwise I just use copper rtv. As long as both surfaces are clean and everything lines up OK, it works fine.

If you have lots of spare time and not feeling lazy, you can use old/used aluminum soda cans. Wrap those ordinary gaskets with some layers.

Yeah. It cleaned up the wires and stuff that were hanging around up there. I left the turn signal switch in place. Figured I could maybe use it for my nitrous switch. :twisted:

Kinda surprised you didn't go with the starter button for that since it's a momentary switch at thumb's reach. Cool either way.

Mail just came, and I got a present in a box I didn't feel like spending a whole day designing another tank adapter and in-line petcock. Found this little gem online. 14mm x 1.00 pitch thread, so it bolts right into the tank without any modifications. Built in tank filter, and built in manual petcock. Pretty cool if you ask me!

You'll get to see it at the track It's running really rich right now, so I havent been able to test it too much. I was waiting for that petcock to come so I can get to tuning with Methanol. After switching over, it shouldnt be rich at all. It may even be a bit lean. But the jet set I bought for my 22mm carb also works on the carb I have on there. I got lucky there :thumb:

I just am hoping its at least some kinda wet kit. Your very limited with a dry shot of nitrous. I dont think a 2T would like that much.?. Best of luck with your tune and set-up ! Whatever it is lol?

You could fab a spray bar from brass tubing like this; And control the fuel feed with a model airplane engine carb needle like this;
