Someone suggested going into the marsh for a softer landing. Might have worked if I coulda got it headed taht way, but at the time "marsh crash" and "drowning" sounded awfully similar. Either way, it woulda been a wreck.
Yeah, I'd rather miss winter riding than summer. It woulda drove me nuts if he were stopping by on his bike all summer long telling me I need to get out there.

WOW!I just found this thread..Sorry to hear about it!If you didnt have your gear on you'd be in real bad shape..I see those fools blasting down the road with shorts and no helmet in the summer and I think"must have not kissed the pavement yet".I catch hell for 'suiting up' to ride, but I've been down enough to know that protective gear helps.Hope you get better soon!!!

Thanks. Yeah, I'm in the market for a new jacket. Just hoping to catch a nice clearance/closeout since I've got a little time before I can ride. I think I'm gonna get a real free-slowing mesh jacket for summer too when I can. I usually wear short sleeves in the summer, but the more I hit the road the less I want to.

I went back to the doc today and got more xrays. Everything looks good and my hand is free again. I'm not supposed to be doing much lifting at all or anything that would create an impact, but at least I can use it to some degree. The doc said it'll let you know what you can and can't do yet... and it does. lol

Had to get a little help since I can't lift much with my hand, but I got it apart to see if I could tell what was wrong with the front end that put the steering out of alignment. The first thing I noticed was that the alignment peg was kind of ripped out of place. Then I noticed that the whole assembly was bent in a couple of directions. I was expecting to find a bent steering stem like I did with my other Triton's crash and my friend's crash. This way is cheaper though! ;D I might see if I can find an adapter for MX bars, dunno. If anyone has a lead on an adapter for the stem style pictured, holla. ;D So as far as I know, here's the list of what needs replacement : -Handlebars -F+R Turn Signals -Mirror -Seat Assembly -Foot Peg Covers -Air Filter -Headlight Bulb -Tail Light Assembly

Alright! ;D, you are back in gear. Good to see your up and working. Glad to hear its not too bad. MX style bars would be nice on your scoot. I think they would go more with your no "plastic panel" look. The stock bar set-up looks weak anyhow. Im interested in a set also . At leaste it didnt get your bright ass nice headlights

They have 'em in flat black for $30 too. ;D I don't see the adapter in flat black or solid black on the site.

I've got most of what I need now. Just waiting on a seat assembly and a LH grip from Reign. The TNT bars and adapter are really nice. They seem to be much stronger than the stock setup.
