He really didnt go with the naked look by "choice". If you look back , or remember Brent did some experimenting with the stock motor mount and made it a solid mount so it wouldnt flex and dissipate a little power. It turned out to be an overkill but i give Brent props for the time and effort to see if we had another free mod for us gearheads . It rattled the piss outta everything on the scoot ! Plastic breaking apart, plug wire shaking off, it was bad by the way he explained it . So yeah, i guess it did save him some money kinda ..... I cant wait to see it together with the bars ;D I see... I joined after all that so I had no idea.

NP Reign. I appreciate the deal.
jmstar, I have to admit the naked scooter has grown on me. It may not be sleek like the original stuff, but I do enjoy riding it more this way. Working on it is so much easier. It's also very different than anything around here. Even Rucks have more body work than this. The only reason I miss my panels now is for the extra MPH, and for more of a wind shield in cold weather.

I got the replacement seat and center stand in from Reign today. My center stand wasn't damaged in the crash, but I had to weld up a crack in it before and it has sat crooked from being bent since the day I got the scoot. I got the stand on today and it looks so much better and feels more stable sitting still now. Before After I wanna change the fuel filter before the seat goes on. I still need to attach the front brake, adjust the rear brake, connect the switches, and tie all the wires and cables up, install the speedo pickup again, replace the headlight bulb, and I think that's about it.

I changed the fuel lines and filter and adjusted the throttle cable so I could get the seat back on. Went to put the seat on and it doesn't line up. The seat latch seems loose so I tried to tighten it. Already tight. Ahhh... I guess it broke in the crash too. Not sure if I wanna weld this cheap metal, didn't feel like it just then anyway. I figured I'd at least get the new UNI filter on. Nope. I ordered a 39mm ID and got a 45mm ID. There's other stuff left, but I said a few choice words and walked back in the house.

I'm guessing it musta hit fairly hard to destroy the bottom of the seat and break the metal seat latch and bend the handlebars. Frame seems as straight as ever. I guess I'll know for sure if I try to drive straight and start going sideways. I got the filter from motorcycle superstore I think. I ordered so much at once that I'm not 100% sure without looking over receipts. I'm just gonna hang on to it anyway because it's the size that fits a 150 carb. I think I've got a new knockoff that I can use.

I welded the seat latch back together and re-blacked it. Seems as strong as ever. After a little bending I got everything to line up for the new seat. Stuck the UNI knockoff on too. I need a real UNI. After having one for a little while I really don't like the clown nose filter so much. They look better tucked inside fairings. EDIT : Found a blacked out UNI cheaper than the regular one. HERE.

What color Uni are you going to get?
Looking at the knock off salmon color one, a red would look awesome. Really compliment the wheels nicely.
Edit: Just noticed that massive pry bar. What was that out for? lol
