The wind was better, albeit somewhat cloudy and only 36 degrees, decided to try a short speed run, bad timing at 4:30, people heading north with me kept me at 50 for most of it, but at 50 hitting the gas results in a nice smooth downshift and easy acceleration 60, didn;t have my phone but by the speedo pretty sure 70 was reached easily before it just got too flippin cold.
My initial thoughts are I hit the right spot with the slider weight at 19g, got weather coming so it will be about a week but it sounds like I'll some wind in face by next weekend.

Finally got shipping confirmation for my head pipe, after I called Kymco USA to see what the hold up was, because the dealer said they hadn't heard from Kymco.
That's when the rep said the part had been ordered on the 20th and shipped out.
Then the dealer changed their story, said they couldn't order from Kymco until they had a minimum, but didn't have that on their site or tell me.
Oh well it's on the way at least.

Got the flange off, broke off right at the weld, not sure why, the stock muffler is supported by three bolt, the Emgo is supported by one at pretty much the center of balance and doesn't seem to be stressing the pipe, it's also ten years old. On the other hand, I ordered a bushing 1.125"ID/1.5"OD long enough to cover the end of the pipe where the muffler clamps on so the Emgo will bolt up solid and I'll add another bracket for two points of support, should be good to go.

New header came today finally, all nice and black, and I found a bronze bearing with the exact size needed for a spacer to properly attach the Emgo muffler at Grainger which should be here tomorrow, unfortunately, no riding weather before Easter it looks like

Went for an all out tucked in speed run, tailwind and downgrade
Pretty sure the engine is rev limited, the RPMs hit a brick wall, no cutting out or sputtering, just held steady. I'm ordered set of 20g sliders to see what that does.
