I had thought about using bumper paint on the unpainted plastics, the floor is new pretty much, everything else was fairly faded and oxidized, now I think I'm going to go ahead and just replace them

any products like that, vinyl treatments etc around here would become covered with road dust in the summer and grain dust in the fall ") like my wife's dash who still hasn't figured it out...

I've never tried it, but some use a heat gun to get black plastics to look good again. If they'll be tossed and replaced if nothing else works, seems like you wouldn't lose anything by trying. www.google.com/search?q=restore+plastic+heat+gun

I've tried the heat gun method, and I used an actual heat gun. I think a hairdryer would do better and be more controllable. I wasn't able to get good results with the heat gun myself, at least not consistent.

This is why I like the wd40. It's very thin and wipes off/dries off easy. It doesn't stay slick or 'wet' as long as you wipe enough wd40 off. I've noticed pb blaster and others aren't the same as good ole wd40.

New muffler and sliders will be here first part of next week, the Kymco order is of course dragging. I ordered a new front cover and a new left side skirt, in the OEM color even though it's getting painted, and pretty much all new black plastic trim pieces except for the side vents, I thought it was odd when the unpainted plastics still had paint color codes, but that's how all the Kymco dealers list them, using the parts list/ parts numbers provided by Kymco. Imagine my surprise when Kymco told lesson's they didn't recognize the color codes on the unpainted plastics...
Hopefully they got that all straightened out.

Got the new sliders installed, Dr. Pulley 19gram, from what I can find, the OEM rollers are 21 gram, so I opted for the higher side and see what happens. The old belt still needs replaced, about 13K miles on it, Kymco orders are slllloooowwwwww....
