Edit : So I thought the 50mm was a 100cc kit because the sticker said GY6-100 on it. It is really an 81cc kit. I was wrong to assume and am new to all of this so I just didn't know. I am not trying to hurt any business or any people. It was just my own ignorance.
So I recently put in an order at ScrappyDog and everyone was saying that they turned into a scam and jumped the ship. It does appear that they have closed down but I think they were bought by another company called RnD Moto.
I ordered a 80cc BBK Stage 3 Package for my scoot for $99 and fully expected to be scammed after reading the reviews here. I placed my order early on July 3rd (3:30 AM) and few minutes later got a confirmation from PayPal for a company called RnD Moto. I then received and tracking number for the order a few hours later.
When the package arrived today (July 7th) I saw a little note on the box.
It seems that they upgraded me to something else since I was the first order of the day...hmm I wonder what that could mean. After opening the box, everything looked to be what I ordered...until I looked further.
It seems that they "upgraded" me to a 100cc / 50mm BBK even though I ordered a 80cc. This is not really what I would call an "upgrade". I had ordered an 80cc on purpose. I thought maybe I would of gotten sticker or a shirt or a jetting kit or something small, but nope. They just threw in a 100cc kit.
I will still be installing it and tuning it, I just wanted an 80cc for the reliability but...I will not complain about the power I will get from the 100cc either.
I don't know if they do this for every first order or what. It seems like there is a lot of confusion about Scrappy Dog / RnD Moto on the forum right now so I figured that I would just post what my experience has been so far with them. So far its been good the tranaction went smooth, they provided tracking, and shipping was only 3 days.
In the future if they are going to completely "upgrade" an order they should email you or something if it is going to be a totally different product that you will be receiving. But I get it, they are wanting to make a good impression by going "bigger is better" which is probably what most people ordering from them think anyway.

That was nice of them but, I hope your crankshaft is up to the task if it is the stock crank. If it were me, I would have wanted exactly what I ordered...I am funny that way.

A woman named Heather just messaged me on messenger about my review, she claimed they bought the inventory out; I am currently messaging back with her to verify that claim and assure that it's not just Rick changing the name, because he RENEWED his business license in April, to an address of 1812 Sunset Blvd #31 St. George, Utah 84790, RnD Moto has the SAME street address but #28 |

Bill Yeah I kind of wanted the 80cc kit but, its almost not worth it to me to try and send this back and blah blah blah. The crank is the only thing im worried about too...but...power in the mean time will it melts...oh well. Some people seem to have good luck on the stock crank. I only usually ride it around town anyway. |

The state business license is pretty much the evidence that makes me doubt the claims that "Heather" made in messenger a little while ago, I posted the question and screen shot to her a few mins ago, no response yet. Maybe you lucked out, I certainly will not buy from this outfit. |

Here's what "Heather" has said
I described the issue and then she said;
I asked her to get back to me with something I can verify myself, and if its valid etc I'll certainly remove my neg review
I then said;
I would want to see some document of some kind proving there was a sale to a new entity and the like, in other words, something showing that there is no way Richard Main simply changed the name of his business from scrappydogs/Alchemy motors to RnD Moto to skip out on people.
Thanks so much heather, and I WILL remove my neg review etc if I am provided with something that helps prove this change
I will also post an update about it for you then too.
Scrappydog's web site is still up, and if you click "add to cart" it adds the item to the paypal cart and takes you to the screen to complete the purchase, this web site needs to be removed because it's still taking money.

So in other words they were out of stock of what you ordered and “upgraded” your order with what they had on hand. Technically if you submitted a claim with PayPal not as described/ordered you wouldn’t be liable for return shipping.

That sounds about right, but from what "Heather" said RnD Moto bought scrappydog's inventory, they should not have shipped what the guy didn't order, but instead give him a pre-shipment choice whether he wanted to wait for the 80cc kit or get a refund or take the 100cc kit. |

Yes it sure is, and I sent Paypal an email about it with the details; aupviolations@paypal.com If they look into it they should at least shut off Paypal's making payments out of people's accts for cart items on that site. So the question now is obvious, why did RICK register RnD Moto's domain when they claim all they did was buy his inventory?
Why is his name on (or STILL On) the RnD Moto domain.
I'm seeing a lot of very suspicious things here and I'm not liking what I'm seeing, it doesn't add up and it doesn't jive with a separate entity/people simply buying inventory or even buying a closed business, the seller wouldn't register and pay for THEIR domain name and have HIS name on it, at least not in the normal world.
Watch and see if those registrations suddenly get changed to something different or even get hidden behind godaddy' privacy registration!
I could be wrong, but it all LOOKS to me like Rick is behind it all, and that he simply changed business name to a new one in April, and maybe location and is trying to get away from the months of orders paid for and never shipped.
