This forum software doesn't do it yet. The next version, should be coming soon, will. I don't get ad revenue other than the one banner on the main page for Parts For Scooters. hmmm ok i was wondering because i see LOTS of boards that have that missing or switched off, and it really is a valuable option, scootdawg is using the same technology your forum is, but they also wont RESIZE their pics automatically, which is clearly an option im guessing

Just an fyi to everyone the scoot being considered for this trip (the new one) is either a
MC-04Y-150(ARUBA-150 / FIJI-150)
its a ROketa, im hoping that wont be too much different then the gy6 i have now as far as layout, im checking on the seat storage thing that was mentioned
SO either the ROketa Aruba, or the ROketa FIji, im not sure which it really is lol
has that service manual made it here yet?

good morning all
yeah i found that out last night, the owners manual for this bike is rather funny, its written in halted english and not at all helpful, im seeing on other forums you can MAKE A HOMEMADE variator removal tool, very interesting
Yeah i thought there was a seat bucket, btw this roketa seems to have the very same makeup as my UM powermaxx does, so not a lot of a learning curve there
since im comfortable with my UM that might be a good thing after all!

If you get the right tools, the CVT isn't neerly as intimidating. A 12v emergency impact wrench, about $30, can be your best friend if you need to do stuff in there. Eventually you.ll want to examine the variator, rollers, more closely. Look for flat spots on the rollers, and wear on the guides. Maybe replace the rollers with Dr. Pully sliders The impact can remove the variator nut, clutch, flywheel, and tires. The emergency type hooks up to the scooters battery for power, and is portable. I use the adapter that comes with it for my 12v air pump also.

I can tell you right now, the tool is good for the road repait kit, but the impact is going to be your favorite tool. Just remember to take your time when you need to do repairs, keep things orderly so you can put everything back exactly as you took them out. I know how you feel about the kick start parts though. In fact I have to go back in and get mine sorted again, the spring isn't comeing back up. This is after dinkin around getting it back in place for a good while. Lots of swearing involved. Honestly, that little thing is the worst I've dealt with on the 150cc's. Have you downloaded the engine manual yet? The Arrow manual is the one I reference for the 150cc. www.chinesescooterreference.com/manuals.htm
