been waiting to post latest pics for work on all this . no idea where I last posted on this; it's been going on for so long. work a little here a little there . between mom , who turned 97 this month and some work here and there . anyway here's the latest on what I managed to get done . I would make progress with the harness and then decide I didn't like what I did with the connections/connectors and then cut them off and go to a different style connector . lost count of how many times I've changed them . finally going with just crimps and solder for a lot of them . trailer lights and small leds strips and some new pointy turn sigs for the rear

I dug up your build thread and moved your last post in here. You've got tail lights that would make some SUVs jealous.
Did you ever get the handlebar controls figured out? I was just finishing figuring the ones for my SSR out so I can work on a diagram for a harness that I'll eventually have to build and thought about this.

@90gtvert - thanks for digging that up. well, no, I haven't completely figured out the wiring for , at least the right hand switch controls. I had quite a bit of work for a while before xmas and no time . I'm not even sure if the right switch will work for it at all but I think the left will. it's a case of , that's just how the harness is wired for this bike and converting from an cluster system with a 5 wire kill switch to a naked scooter with handlebar controls/switches just won't work with the right hand switch - unless I just don't hook up 1 or 2 of the wires in the right hand switch and get a single dedicated kill switch to add in .
I'm about ready to get back at it- maybe even tomorrow

well , I could use a little advice. so, awhile back when we got the wiring sorted enough so that it turned over , it actually started and ran. no problem. leading up to that I cleaned the gas tank real good and put in some non ethanol; little over a half a tank . that's been 3-4 months ago ? so yesterday I hooked everything back up with alligator clips etc., just so it will start so I can check/work on the rear lights and finish them up . so , yesterday it started several times just for a few seconds - and then it wouldn't . so , I didn't want to ruin the starter or battery so I charged it up overnite and today I emptied all the gas out of it except maybe 1 or 2 cups - ?? and put in about a gallon or so . still won't start . so , tomorrow morning I'll go get some starting fluid to spray it with but 1st I'll pull the plug and look at the spark , see if it looks good. do you guys think I need to pull the carb for any reason and clean it / drain it or etc . ? I drained the bowl before I tried starting it. this is a brand new Naraku carb with 0 miles on it . it turns over great ... but no start. thanks
I'm charging this old battery right now and later I'll go out and put the brand new /unused but several months old battery on a charge- just in case .
