Harley what were those carbs used on mostly are they hard to tune and what size carb is that? ty the the carb in that pick is a walbro wb3. it has a 24mm venture and was supposedly used on big gas powered drones an on 80+cc R/C airplanes. theyre also used on some racing karts. they are as easy to tune as a chainsaw, weed eater, or blower. no jets to change just a high and low needle screw. they have a built in fuel pump so tank can be mounted above or below carb. carb has no float bowl so it can be mounted in any orientation even upside down. I just ordered a walbro wj67a that has a choke and 21mm venture to try on my pk80 bike motor because the wb has a dead spot if you straight WOT. I think its because my crankcase on the little 66cc motor doesn't have enough volume to run the pump. it starts fine with out a choke blade, and if I gradually increase throttle I can work it to wot just cant floor it. the wb series are for 90-150cc engines I don't think the little 66cc I have it on now can keep up with the fuel pump pulse needed. as soon as my new carb is in the wb will go on one of my bbk engines. probably the metrakit af05 in my chopper spree. no fairing to deal with. ill start a thread if I ever do it.. lol ive used this style of carb with a 12mm venture all the way up to this 24mmon my different builds. no jets to stock up on or change. just initial settings, start motor and fine tune. if youre interested 190 want to try one, I have a second wb3 on the shelf as a spare that I just got and haven't used. just needs a throttle arm and a nipple for the fp pulse, and maybe a rebuild kit and a cleaning. let me know and ill throw it in the mail.

Done some limited work installing one on my 103 a few years back; Got it going, but had the typical pumper problem of rich running after throttle roll off,can be cured with careful pop off pressure setup which I never did... Be a great drag carb though!!

I'll need someone to make me an adapter I don't have a welder no welder needed. I use the ct/ dio manifold base and reeds. the cut a piece of 1/8"-3/16" aluminum plate up and drill a few holes... simple ive wanted to try a tilston carb. those aren't as easy to find (cheaply) as the walbros. ive heard the tilstons are a bit more temperamental on the pop off than walbros are. I don't know though. I really like that these diaphragm carbs can be tilted or angled every which way though. a great option if you want that straight shot at the crankcase

Thought if Ive been this long doing a Honda, why not do the Mina/Yam CVT swap..Found this guy on Youtube that did it,looks like a nice improvement..A few pics of the swap; Here is the how to link; www.youtube.com/watch?v=WO5-QguDjAQHe cut the Honda vari sleeve OD to match the Yam OD,,I went the other way,Yam sleeve ID(13mm) bored to Honda ID(14mm),soft metal so it cuts easy on the lathe..

Yeah that guy is pretty damn ingenious with how he makes things work with what he has

Still working on it!Darn thing is uncontrollable,,wheelies with the slightest throttle blip, when touches down front end wobbles trying to pitch the rider off...Looked at frame swaps, then figured keep the Elite frame and make it safe,,did a frame extend(3.25") on the main tube with some 4130 I had in the shop, added a frame brace as I could flex the frame by hand .030" at the head tube with little effort,,Then spliced a HEAVY Vento Zip disc brake 12" wheel front end that oldgeek gifted me a while back, dropped the tubes and kept full travel still fitting under the stock front plastic..A few pics of the progress; Engine is back in,polishing the turd plastics, wiring 2 different harnesses together, will post as progress is made!
