Short update. I still have hanging idles when I come down from 7000rpm and cylinder head temps over 250. I'm seriously confused.

So I tried every single jet I own. I tried a compression test, another leak down test, new gas, different radiator lines, every pilot jet from 30 to 48 and every main jet from 100 to 115. Nothing brings the Temp down low to the 150° area where I should be.
The only thing I can think of is that my radiator is shit in terms of cooling capacity.

What belt size are you running . I sent you that the larger polini belt and you were running a dayco belt with your malossi variator . Whichever one works best for travel front and back compared to the stock belt .
I am putting another parts order together with a malossi variator so I was looking to upsize the belt from my current stock belt .

I think it's a necessary upgrade

Hi Hippo008 i started to do a similar build in 2018. I put a 14/41 polini secondary gear on thinking this would allow me to keep the stock crank without it being over worked. What do you think? . I have the 70cc malossi kit and yasuni r exhaust. Also which carburetor for you end up going with?

You should probably use a 17.5mm carb.
