On my yamaha zuma I remove the end cap from the spark plug and you just see some screw threads . The spark plug wire has a end that grabs that wire a regular plug would not fit .

Also these plugs fit the 13/16 the socket right? Yes They fit that socket I had to replace my caps just the other day hit a bump and my scoot just coasted . The cap was getting worn out and loose . They fit snug when new you have to give a good tug to get them off after they are popped on . The model number of that cap is in the picture I got them at a auto parts store or Amazon they are NGK LDO5F

Cut off about 1/4 of an inch from the end so you have fresh lead. The cap has a screw thread inside. Just screw it clockwise until it seats all the way in.

I've never had good luck with those but only tried on cars and trucks. And you say I can probably get from auto parts store? I just wrapped a thin copper wire around the threaded plug end for now with a fresh plug. But ya I want to fix proper. I can't beleive how sloppy it was. Only reason it made a connection is cause the wire has pressure on it. So happy overall tho. Simple fix is always the best fix.

That is what happened to my Prebug aswell. My cap inside where the spark plug goes in and makes connection was deteriorated and I had gold powder all over the spark plug. In my case I just unscrewed the cap and screwed in a used one I had laying around from my old Jog. It worked like a charm. Not sure this will work for you too without cutting the wire. It is important that the cap makes good contact with the copper ( ? ) wire inside it. You can replace the complete wire too if something should go wrong so no worries if you should mess up something.
Funny though is I never had issues like that on any horizontal type motor except for this vertical engine.

How many miles you got on your set up ? They tend to loosen up and get your best top speed and acceleration after that 500 mile mark .
To help the next guy What kind of weights range you find works n the variator for you ? What clutch springs and contra ? Jetting Changes ?

How many miles you got on your set up ? They tend to loosen up and get your best top speed and acceleration after that 500 mile mark . To help the next guy What kind of weights range you find works n the variator for you ? What clutch springs and contra ? Jetting Changes ? I'm at around 500 kms on the new jug which is about 310 miles. I have gotten a top speed of 94km/h with a tail wind but again I'm 6 foot 5 and 320lbs. The variator is a polini hi speed for minerelli Model: 241.671 whichever springs and weights came with it is what I'm running. Also as mentioned before from my research I was to find a 80 jet stock in my carb and the polini sport kit came with a 10% increase to 88 but when I opened the float bowl it was clearly stamped 94 so I just ran that. I added a cap and a half of extra oil to my gas for the first 3 full tanks of 94 octane. Now just running stock injector pump and I'm at w.o.t. 95% of the time. She's rock solid completely dependable and also that new lithium batt is amazing highly recommend my old yuasa at full 13.9 volt couldn't spin the new piston n rings at cold with choke it would make a god awful clunking sound. With the lithium it spins it over like the spark plug is out. Complete game changer IMO.

Would also like to add while kicking it over is quite easy 1st kick everytime but I hate that you have to have it up on the stand it's so cumbersome. When it parked sure no problem but when I'm riding and stop to talk to someone or whatever the case may be I hated that you can't just kick and go. So that's why the lithium is a game changer to me. I can be 5 blocks away on the scoot before I can even get to my truck and get it started etc. Also I ordered a 17mm shim pack and I found that after you put the variator on I use 3 shims against the fan side of vari. And I get full tilt through out the throttle range.

Great results Rocky Tail wind or not getting over 90 kph is real strong . You just proved again that breaking 85 kph is not hard with a sport build spending under 400 bucks you added 20 kph . Minor if any Cvt tuning with that pipe it just has power every where . Just a little bigger jet in the carb. The polini clutch springs that come with that variator are medium strength and the Contra is just stiffer then stock . Alot of guys should just follow a build like yours if they want more top speeed take off and still quiet and reliable .

Well thank you zino that tells me I did well. Couldn't have done it without ya. About the jet u think I can squeeze some more out of her? Like what a 104? I also wanted to point out this scoot has a very small gas tank to begin with but honestly I don't think my mileage has changed much. And why would it if I didn't change the jet right? I get about 100kms of flat out throttle pinned riding per tank of 91 or 94. It costs me 3.50 to fill at today's price of 127.9 per LITRE of Canadian pesos
