As far as jetting a 104 would be a big jump ,And probably make you run like crap . If the plug is grey I am going bigger If you like how she feels and your plug is brownish like graham crackers I would not change it . If it was brown to blackish I might look to go down . If it was black then I would go down in size
On these street builds. I jet rich below where they foul and not worry about getting every last ounce of power. That way I can handle tempature and humidity changes without worry

Then i would stick with it and just let her rip . What kinda temps are you peaking at and holding ? The safe number to watch for is that it hangs out and maintains a number blow 350 without any temp spikes and at 1/2 throttle finds a lower temp range and idle is another notch down from from where the needle hangs out My vinos have similar set ups to yours and wide open long rungs 5-6 miles they peak out at 300 some days and 310 ish other well under 350 in the 1/2 throttle city driving 0-30 mph they run at 260 degress .

I gotta hook up the gauge and see. Kinda pooped the bed on that one. I had lent it to a friend for his boat motor cause his guage was wonky. So I didn't have it when the bbk arrived. I have it back now so ya I'll put it on and get my max rpm and temp ranges sometime this long weekend

It was 75 degrees today Those were temps tonight which are pretty typical . I run my scoots from 45 degrees to 95 degrees throughout the year. I am in wisconsin 800 feet elevation.
As far as Rpms I would expect you to peak out around 9000 rpms . If your plug is brown you are in a good range the temp gauge is more for monitoring Day to Day health and I consider it a must have . The tach is more for just tuning I dont have them on every scoot permanent

Plug is a good range you may need one size richer when we get into colder weather .

Very difficult to tell. You'll have to look deep down into the plug and read the mixture ring. Look that up on google, it involves cutting off the threads and reading the porcelain insulator all the way down below.

Well I got a bit higher readings I think. I got 8910 max rpm and my temp was mostly around 370 but if I kept holding i did get it topped out at 384 and then I backed off. Half crusing throttle sits around 340.

That is hot on the verge of seizing . I have seized a cast iron at just over 380 degrees . It comes down to tolerances and how accurate your gauges are At 9000 rpms That is especially hot . 1/2 throttle seems high also. I would buy some jets and do a proper plug chop like Lucass is talking about . heres how Pick a area you can go wide open for a mile . Warm it up with your current plug . Jump on it blast down the road Full Blast . Run at least a mile at that speed . With the throttle wide open hit the kill switch coast to stop . Swap plugs back to your old plug. Take the wide open plug to your work shop and hack saw the threads off . We want a 2 mm (size of a # 2 pencil lead )light smoke ring at the base of the plug. If no ring you are way under jetted .

I don't know anything about this guage other than it was sitting on a scrap lile on a go cart for sometime. I'm going to check it at least at dead cold and see if it is same as outside temp and I have a couple of the laser heat temp guns. Uggg is there not a easier way to bring temp down a tad. Like cooler plug?

I run a 9 plug in my cast iron builds ,You have room based on your plug to go a notch cooler . On the ground strap your color looks to change just below the bend . Ideally you want it in the bend . So that suggests one step cooler plug
