Any progress on the RS125 build? I'm extremely interested. Been a bit preoccupied with the malaguti. But I did order a new piston set and some o rings for the top end. And those pesky pins for cylinder alignment. I want those exact measurements when you get to work it. This is crazy build and i'm tempted to do it too.

Just glad the piston kit wasn't an arm and a leg. But the little tidbits added up. I'm trying to find a cdi that's similar to the honda timing curve to see if I can match it or improve on it (think it will be hard to improve on a honda GP race bikes design in any way) which is why I'm leaving the bore alone lol.

What kind of spacers are you going to use for the crank and cylinder? I'd imagine there should be some extreme machining?

Sorry for lack of updates. Work, car broker, and family loss has been making life....well life. We live and move on. Piston arrived. But somehow the other small tidbits hasn't made it to the u.s yet.

So after some digging a buddy of mine let me know of a shop in Hawaii that sells case cutting tools. It's ordered.
But still waiting on some small parts. I emailed the company and they sent some small bits for the topend like gaskets but claim some parts are on backorder.
Going to see if maybe a cr125 has similar head divots that would fit the ra125r

oh man, i did not know you were looking for a case cutter. i see them pop up on Eb@y from time to time coming out of Hawaii. i think the seller is the guy from VT Cycles.
sorry for not paying attention, had i known you were looking for a case cutter, i could have pointed you in that direction.
glad you found it though!

Thats who I was forwarded to , it would've made my aerox case a bit easier back when I was fitting a 42mm crank in it but now I have more confidence in getting the work done to have the crank fit.

Bless Bless! that's okay about "back when". it's all about Here and Now. now that you got a case cutter on the way, it will be a beauty-full destiny.

I'm so excited can't wait to get this going! I'm almost afraid to keep this engine in the benelli and swap it into a drag scooter. Maybe my old zuma frame?

i come from the naval submarine overhaul/repair trade, Always remember: Very easy to remove metal, very hard to put back. No Rush, Take your Time when "Machining".
slow-is-fast when machining metal.
