I spoke to them at scooter swap shop & he said there really isn’t any difference between the 2 & just get the r. I got the drive face today. Really no notable difference other than needing to drop down to 6.5 gram rollers. Rpm dropped about 150 after I installed it. No top speed increase. I’ve got to bite the bullet & get a yasuni because I’d like more. If it would cruise at 55 I’d be happy...for now. 8760 seems to be the peak for the zx. Thinking 9500-10 for the r, that sound about right?

I usually got low 9s with a leo vince paired with a cast kit
The Yasuni is a upgrade I push just over the 10 k rpms . With the yasuni r and the Athena kit and pushed to 10 k rpms with the malossi cast paired with the yasuni r. I also pushed low to mid 9s with the street pipes tecnigas silent pro and malossi wild lion .
You are getting to the upper limit of a sport class build 7-9 hp . 55 is about where I peak out and run for 3-4 miles wide open . The wall of wind holds me back a alot going at higher speed . Street pipes had me 53-54 Yasuni had me at 55-57 mph

I can hit higher but that’s the rpm that feels strongest. Went lighter & got more rpm with less speed. Went heavier & got less rpm & less speed. My tach could be reading a little different too. I didn’t do any porting or polishing either. Just slapped it on & went.

your doing it right by going with the rpms that feel the strongest with the best top speed I polish the exhaust port on all cast kits I often raise the exhaust port a extra 1/2 mm- 1mm for extra rpms .
The best thing abut the Yasuni R is it pairs well with more powerful cylinders as well with cylinders in your current class.
You have caught the upgrade bug

I’ve got a yasuni on the way. Hoping it’s a nice gain.

Here is a side by side from top to bottom malossi wild lion ,tecnigas silent pro ,tecnigas next r and Yasuni R The yasuni belly is wider and has more volume . You made a great choice for and expansion pipe The yasuni is the bets of these 4 pipes I Have run The Leo vince zx and would any of the first 3 pipes right there with it the yasuni r just has more power hands down. i would buy either of the street pipes over the zx and next r since the the power band is wider and requires almost no cvt tuning over stock and top speed is the same .

Got the pipe in today. Pulled the restrictions & got it mounted. Definitely an improvement over the zx. I need to do a little cvt tuning but just slapping it on & going is netting 250-300rpm more. I can get up the hill by my house about 3-4mph faster than before. I went up 2 sizes on the main & still need to go up another size or 2.

You will love that pipe . It is a big upgrade over the zx . The power band is pretty wide so it is pretty easy to tune I had a range of 5-6 grams as outer edge of a workable range . Most pipes give half that much to dial into . Medium to hard clutch springs worked best for me to get a good launch.
Buy a bottle of mop and glo and paint it on your new pipe . It helps protect it and gives a nice golden brown color

So I put a few more miles on it. The r is definitely an improvement but like everyone else I still want more. I’m currently sitting at 9-9100rpm for the most part on the flats. So I’m thinking of a corsa or s6 street race. I’m running a top touring black now. Would either of those kits net me 2 or so more horsepower? Would it be better to pull my cylinder & polish the exhaust port & raise the port another mm? If just slapping one of those kits on would net me more I’d do that. I’m still on the factory crank but I don’t mind pushing it to around 10k.

As far as, I and some others have seen, every single one is machined improperly. I've heard some Sports are okay, but I just worked on one today that was the same issue as a Corsa. Anyway, since you already have that cylinder and it wouldn't cost much too much to raise the durations a bit, that's what I'd do. The Yasuni R really shines in the ~9,250-10,250 range imo. Juust above where you are now.

The trophy on other builds revs higher Willie678 has that cylinder and pipe combo. A little clean up work on your current cylinder exhaust port and a polish raising 1 mm is a big change. Running copper spray only instead of the head gasket as long as you still have squish at .9 mm and above so you can run pump gas .

I kinda figured all that had been addressed.

Have you leak tested and properly tuned the carb on the build?

I need to step up a size or 2 on my main but that haven’t come in yet. I have 6, 6.5, 7, & 7.5 rollers. I also have both white & yellow contra springs. I get the best top end with the white spring. I have the 7g rollers in it now & it seems like the best setup. I had 6.5’s. It really does run pretty good & just like power. I have always had 2 stroke dirt bikes & crotch rockets so it’s what I’m used too. I’m also 6’4” & 265lbs so I’m a large guy on a little bike. I might try the copper spray for the head gasket & clean this cylinder up a little.
