Leaned on it a little bit broke 50 a couple times with new tires . They have less rolling resistance than the stock tires . Current setup Malossi Mhr Replica 70cc kit Malosi Wild Lion exhaust 17.5 dellorto 92 main 33 pilot Naraku torque converter Ncy 1000 Rpm Contra with naraku ball bearing base NCY 1500 clutch Springs NCY Clutch Dayco belt Piaggio long 4t belt VC31191 It rolls out 745 mm the stock belt rolls out to 738 mm both are 18mm wide Style Pro Varaiator Face Polini Variator 7.5 Gram sliders 2mm shims (.5 min front 1.5mm in back of variator ) I had been running 6.5 grams I was revving high 9's shifting at 8800-9000 I was not getting full belt travel and I was running too high rpms so I re-shimmed Switched to 7.5 Gram sliders to bring down peak rpms to 9k and shifting at 8400 rpms

The dayco belt properly shimmed dropped from 3-4 mm left on front pulley to less than 1 mm on outer and inner edge so rock bottom first gear and full top gear on the polini variator. The back pulley has less than 4mm left The 7.5 gram sliders feel just as spunky on take off as the 6.5 gram sliders . So more Top Speed and less wasted rpms .

The other belt that worked real well for full belt travel from top to bottom on the variator . Was the malossi 6116424 it rolls out to 750 mm it also measures 18mm wide . Both of these belts take full advantage of the front pulley and use more the back pulley than stock belt . The bando 758 17.5 x 28 belt rolls out to 758 mm it gets better travel on the back less than 2 mm and maxes out the front pulley .

That 52.4 mph sounds good! Would you say your new tires ride a bit firmer than the on/off road Duro? My Roughhouse Sport (street stock tires) is a little harsh riding on gravel roads. I know 50cc scooters are not the best on gravel roads but I live on gravel road and have to drive minimum 3/4 mile to get to blacktop. Watching your build with interest!!

Hunter The heidenaus are stiffer than the duro tires the contact patch to the road is alot narrower. It probably added a mile or 2 to top end . The variator dialing in added the rest .
I have some gravel roads near me that are about 1 mile long that I have to ride through. With the on/off road tires I do not go over 30 mph . With more aggressive tire I have to stay under 25 mph .

On snow mobiles on teardown we would check jetting by piston wash . I took the cylinder head off after 200 miles I wanted to Check piston wash to see how close on jetting I am . You want carbon color covering most of the crown with some small silver spots around the edge especially by the transfers. My jetting is real close If i was racing I would go down a jet or two as a daily driver I am going up a jet since I dont run summer winter jets . So I am going up from the 92 to the 94 . without flash with flash the silver spots show up as dark

I like your thread . Small changes can make big difference. I can see from the pictures, that your head is not lined up with the cylinder, could that make a difference? Or is it more about pressure?

Swapped in The gears Had to reset the trans by dropping the weights to get the same shift points . 8 grams 7800 shift 9000 peak rpms Doggy take off 7.5 grams 8100 shift 9200 peak Rpms Better take off 7 grams Shift 8400-8500 rpms .9300-9400 rpms Best take off
The Malossi Wild Lion and the Malossi MHR Replica power bands overlap closer to 8200- 8600 . It is where I get the snappiest take off with the best top speed . Top speed is in the 55-57 range up from 50-52 range before gears.
Before Gears with the Medium Contra setup (light contra paired with the Naraku Ball bearing Base )Steepest angle on NCY torque driver) 8 Gram Sliders had me shifting in the 8400-8500 range . Peaking at 9500 rpms The wall of wind at higher speeds does put a brake on your peak rpms .
My Temps are Levelling off at 325-330 on Long Wide open runs with the 94 jet in the Carb
To get more speed the Replica needs to be paired with a higher revving pipe the Wild lion power ends in the low to mid 9s . With the Malossi Sport with the Lion the power band overlaps in the 7800-8500 range and ends in low 9s All mesure by Butt dyno Top speed and snappiness .
I have a Yasuni R on the Shelf That would push over 10k rpms .

Been busy riding picked up a 2022 Roughhouse Sport for my wife. Quick mods I put The NCY Street Exhaust I had laying around To accomadate my 5 foot 2 " wife installed NCY Low Down Shock 235 mm Eye to eye compared to 285mm for stock. That dropped the seat down 2 inches it also raises it up 3 inches when it's on the center stand. Also Installed the NCY Golden Variator with 6 gram slider Stock it was doing 40 Mph now its doing 42mph and a much more comfortable ride for her . The Sport has a few upgrades over the Stock Roughouse it has Noticeably Better Suspension and Brakes ,LED Turn Signals and a seat that is 1 1/2 inches shorter .

Low down shock installed She likes it that low She can almost flat foot at stop signs now that between the seat and shock it dops it down to 29 " seat height down from 32" I prefer the stock height I like sitting up high like a dirtbike

Had a break down tonight and the other afternoon and evening Same thing each times when I come to a stop sign after riding down the road for a mile or 2. As I brake slow down and come to a stop . The scooter doesnt stop at normal idle speed it just killed. And then I have a no start condition .
The first time On the side of the road installed a new plug The old plug was clean not fouled . Restarted it took a while to start I checked reeds they are good . I raised the idle speed ,checked and changed the pilot jet .
So I Went for a ride tonight a mile and a half from my house killed at the stop sign . 2 hours later I still have a no start . I put the battery tender on it .
This did not act like a soft seize where it it just dies like you hit a kill switch .

Is it still getting fuel in the bowl after it stopped? Possibly a blocked petcock or petcock starting to go. Or a split in a vacuum line?

The scoots 2 miles away in a friends garage I have clear fuel line so I can see it full of gas And when I swapped jets the bowl was full of fuel
The scoot before this would turn over and fire easy
I have had 4 hard start/no Start conditions in the last 3 days last change was deleting fender and swapping on Yasuni R . Sunday I drove into to town after swapping on pipe I was just about empty So I filled up with premium gas . It just took forever to start .
Monday Morning on my second stop sign 6 miles from home when I came to the stop sign She killed after I stopped and then would not start so I swapped the plug on the side of the road .
Road it home put it on the battery tender She was difficult to start that evening took it for a ride around the block 2 miles At the stop sign by my house on the way back it quit after coming to a stop .
Tuesday Evening This is where I checked the reeds and raised the idle speed and swapped the pilot jet . It did take a while to start when cold . Warmed up scoot took it for the ride and she shut down after I came to a stop . She is on the tender at my buddies house
I will take a harder look at it tonight
