I installed it 2 ways, once with the crank in and I pushed it on with chop sticks. The other time I installed it with the crank out, and then put the cases together. It ended up looking the same each time like the pictures. I tried with 2 different seals. I did put 2t oil on it to install while the crank was in thinking it would slide on nicely like the other side but no dice.
The stage6 crank has a diameter of 20mm that steps down to 16mm for the variator to slide on so the 19 to 20mm difference has got to be the problem here right? The standard C-One seals are 19x30x5mm & 18x28x7. The 18x28x7 works perfect, but the crank is way thicker on the vari side and distorts the 19mm ID of the standard seal

I would definitely order a couple of the bigger seals. You think it would tell you when ordering the crank it needs the correct seal.

What's even funnier, is the crank lists that it comes with the Variator side crank seal but wouldn't ya know there was no seal in the box lmao

More fun! I decided to throw the top end on and check squish out. The solder wasn't getting pinched so I decided to pop the head off and take a look, turns out I'm a out 10mm from the top lmao. I go through the wrappers from the S6 kit and realize I've got a Minarelli kit not a Piaggio one... thankfully I have a spare piaggio plate from the S6 70cc kit I put on my Hobbit, and it matches up perfectly! But, now I don't have proper length tapered head bolts to hold the plate down and let the cylinder bolt up... glad I checked that before I got much further lmao one more reason why you have to mock up a build multiple times and test everything before actually buttoning it up.

Much better to find it now, than when it's bolted on the bike. š

Making some progress now! Got the top end bolted down, showing a .65mm squish and I'm happy with that. Had to make a sleeve for the exhaust to fit the flange and it slips on perfect now. Now the waiting game for the MVT ignition and that special variator seel continues... also need to get my gear pressed on the Malossi output shaft so I can put the transmission together.

That (style) cylinder is on my wish list.

I've not ran this 95cc yet but the S6 70cc version is incredible on my Hobbit. It has a shorter stroke but revs out to around 15k RPM so I have high hopes with this 95cc! It's just been one thing after another with needing to get creative & almost everything I need comes from Maxi Scoot so shipping time is forever...

I use scooter attack which I believe is basically the same company as maxiscoot. My initial order from them. I used UPS shipping but the last one I used DHL express. My first order a year and a half ago took four weeks to show up. I order that I did last came in a week and a half. The more expensive option was worth three weeks of shipping.

Will the carb run okay at that angle? Or is it one that's designed to run like that? So annoying the seal wasn't included in the crank kit. Would of saved a lot of bother. But I guess you are wiser now, if you have to order one in future.

Would have been great if it was identified somewhere that it was an abnormal seal size but maybe my experience will save someone else the headache. But I doubt these S6 cranks will be getting installed much in the future. If it weren't for the 14mm wrist pin needed I wouldn't even have it lol. I can't remember what the max angle is these carbs can handle but I think it's like 45 degrees so hopefully once the motors mounted it will be a safe angle. We're going to find out lol I might need to make a little andled tube to straighten it out off the intake.
My next concern is the belt. I have an oversized variator, rear pulley, and belt so when I mocked up the setup it seems like the belt will rub the case a bit so I think I need to shave the inside of the case a bit

I know on my aerox I had to take off some of the strengthening ribs. The Piaggio CVT is much bigger as standard, so hopefully it might work.

I left out the oil pump gear behind the variator so hopefully when I throw that in I'll be OK but I checked with front and back pulleys and no gear to space and it was a no go without shaving the ribs
