Yeah I think it should be solid, maybe a bit overkill but it won't have awesome airflow because I'm keeping the plastics just cutting out spots for them on the inside. I welded up a bracket for them earlier and I'm going to weld in a crossbar.
I have to say I hate wiring and I'm so confused/frustrated with getting this MVT setup. I ordered a 4 prong rectifier and it was a full wave. Waiting for a half wave one now. I didn't realize I needed to just redo the entire wiring harness that comes with the MVT instead of trying to plug and play.

Actually someone might be able to help me with this. If I go in and completely rewire everything. I take power from the crank and run it straight to the rectifier, then run power from the rectifier to the battery, then I run all accessories off of the batter on a new line? Or I join it with the line that is runing to the battery?

I figured out the wiring, part of my problem was I'm replacing the ignition switch so I am literally redoing the entire wiring harness. But here was a good resource I found to help with wiring from scratch! www.bikeexif.com/motorcycle-wiring

Had a chance to throw some temporary wiring in and check to see if I'm doing it right and sure enough I had headlights! And then I tried to check for spark and threw the kick start spring. Whoever designed these Kickstart CVT covers was a sadist.

Oh yes. Installing a kick start spring is one of the nicer jobs on a scooter. If it only ends in cursing and not missing fingers. It's a win.

So I have the MVT wired up per 90GTVert's instructions with the 4 prong Rectifier and I'm not getting spark? I have the battery connected and th3 circuit is working for my headlights so far but when I kick my test light doesn't go off. I pulled the plug and held it up to see if I'd get a spark I could see and nothing. Am I missing something?

So I tested my igitions output voltage a d I'm getting nothing out for output voltage? Did I get a bunk ignition from MVT?

Tested the resistance and everything adds up on the stator but I can't get it to generate electrical output. Completely stumped, thinking this ignition I waited forever for is no good.

Had some friends go over the system with me and can't find any issues. Looking like the stator is in fact just bad from factory... Speaking with Scootertuning.ca regarding the issue to hopefully resolve it with a replacement stator.

I was able to order a replacement stator from ScooterSwapShop so I don't have to wait a year for MVT or scootertuning.ca but no real answer as to how they're going to make good on the defective one...

New to scooters and new to the forum. I've been on a recent moped building kick, and my recent project is putting a stage6 R/T 70cc LC kit on a 78 Honda Hobbit. In the process I stumbled across a Stage6 95cc R/T kit that has been discontinued for some time now...so naturally I had to get it! Then I had to find something to put it on... so I just scored an 05 Piaggio Typhoon! I'm waiting on all the parts to land, but I've got in the works: Stage6 R/T 95cc LC Kit Stage6 R1200 Exhaust Stage6 R/T Crank (44mm Stroke 14mm pin) Polini High Speed Evolution Variator Stage6 Intake & Reed Kit Malossi Unrestricted CDI Kit Malossi RC-One Variator Cover My plan here, is if I'm doing a scooter - I'm going to do it right. So if anyone has any pointers or suggestions on these Typhoons I am ready to learn! I'm sure there are well known problem areas and things to look out for so I am all ears, and look forward to sharing the progress as it comes together! With that set up I would be looking at a digital ignition set up eletrice water pump I don't know a lot about the r/t kit and maybe look at a r1400 with that size motor

I actually wondered about the exhaust because there aren't many options for over 70cc. I have a guy that does exhausts and could have the stinger cut off and put in an end bleed bolt to relieve some constant pressure & have a sidebleed stinger installed If you can get one a 2fast 86cc pipe would work well
