Swapping in an 08 150cc engine in place of a 49.98cc engine that I could not ever get running.
This is going to be made for fun. Not an everyday driver.
I have already lightened it some. Ive replaced the 150cc axle shaft with the 50cc, so the stock wheel bolts up just like it did on the other engine. Im gonna continue cutting unneeded brackets off. Ive already took out all wiring except Start switch,voltage regulator, cdi box and the bundle that runs inside the engine. Both engines are gy6's.

I went through my wiring today and cleaned it up...A LOT.
I also got it running! What a big relief. I still have welding to do...probably wont be done for awhile.
Trimmed off more weight today. Weighed it on a scale and it came to 129lbs total (engine full of oil and 1/2 tank of gas)

Going to repaint what little plastics I have on this thing soon. I need to also find a 13" rear wheel & tire like whats in the last pics.
Also still have to cut off stock 50cc motor mounts.

I guess its going to look like this for a little while, because im too lazy to repaint it LOL  I eventually want to get the right hand side plastic that goes under your feet and paint the bike white with blacked out lights and probably black wheels |

I don't see any pedals on that scooter that would make it a moped gsx. That scooter does look cool as hell though.
