I don't work with the GY6 150s much, but I think it's about a 15cc combustion chamber. .020" should knock about 1.3cc off of a 57mm bore. Sounds reasonable.

Ive read the 125cc head is smaller chamber but also smaller ports. I wonder if I can get that and port it and mill the cyl jug so the piston is level with it. It would have to be milled .026"
Or just do a cheap 170cc BBK off ebay?

I would do the 170cc myself.

True. But the head is huge @ 62mm compared to the stock 57mm. 125 Head is 54mm.
I guess I will eventually order the kit and do a bunch of measuring for ideal quench and valve clearance and mill accordingly.

If it ever gets finished haha
I clocked it today going 55mph via gps. Then tore the motor down and found the headgasket was melted in half and leaking around 1/4 of the head. So I just now got done porting the head , intake and exhaust to match and will be using a new thicker style headgasket this time around. Will report results when it goes back together.

I bet it is torquey after removing that much from the head! You running this on pump gas? I'd think with the compression and timing you would be pushing it.
One thing on the tail light... I have messed with a bunch of housings from scoots, bikes, and ATVs. Most aren't really great quality. I recently made a plate and started using and oval LED truck/trailer light as my brake/tail. The mounting setup for those kills the vibes from the scoot, it's way brighter than anything else I've used, and they can be had at local truck parts dealers. Just a thought for something simple, but you prob have something much cooler in mind.

It is VERY torquey from what i can tell I am running 94 Octane so far with absolutely NO issues. As far as the tail lite, I am not wanting fancing and show scooter quality. Just something that works. My current light keeps falling off due to the vibrations and how hard it gets slammed from the wheelies. I really need to find some sort of light with a metal housing. Well Here is another update. I had ported my stock exhaust (where it meets the head) to match my head port size, and well it snapped after running it on the stand @ 1/2 throttle (again vibrations). It broke because the metal was so thin and the vibrating of the tailpipe just took a toll on it(no exh. bracket made yet). So now I am having to cut the factory small crap off from the flange and re fab it with thicker larger tubing which matches the size of the exhaust port.

Nice work. You could make a steel plate to hold the trailer light and weld that on or bolt it on. The light will only stick out 1/2" or so. You could make a couple of nubs that stick out just far enough to be sure you'd never hit the light itself on anything. Wouldn't have to be too obvious. You'd have to make a wrap around housing though to make it look as clean as what you have now.
