I hate to ask, cause this is prob a dumb question, but it looks like your fuel cap would be going through the seat. Is the seat itself gonna be elevated more that it looks or is the tank moving? Sorry if it's dumb, just trying to figure out exactly what I'm looking at. By your progress so far, I'm sure it'll turn out well.

There are no dumb questions : )
The fuel neck does APPEAR to be in the way, but when im sitting on it I cant even tell its there. I was going to run the seat that came with this frame BUT like you say, it sits up too tall. Although im sure I could mod it to sit a lot lower, its just not worth the effort.
Im probably just going to run a trimmed piece of foam on the back (where I sit) or maybe make a piece that covers the whole tank and cut out a hole to slide over the neck... not really sure yet. Not even sure where to look to get the foam!

I forgot to update this thread. I had to put another engine on here. I am running a 1P57QMJ right now. My con rod bearing disintegrated in my last gy6.
I also had to redo my exhaust and reinforce my motor mount because the last engine had about torn it in half. Luckily I caught it when I was pulling the old motor and reinforced it with 1/4" steel.

Thanks lol
Yeah im really wanting a 28mm slide carb and maybe some 1000 rpm clutch springs. I think that would really wake her up!
Everything is stock right now. Stock carb, stock trans, rollers are 9.8/12.8g. Thinking of going 10g but not sure. Head is milled and ported. Ported Intake and Larger headpipe and free flowing exhaust. So I think it has more potential...
What your opinions??

And the motor mount should be more solid than it looks! I know the welds looks crappy..which they are, but I made sure to tie the thick pieces of metal into both the original motor mount as well as the frame itself. So im thinking the frame will have to fail if anything now. Here is a pic of my chicken Sh!*

Clutch springs might help those wheelies even more. Best way to find out what weights work best is to try them IMO.

Same thing I was thinking.... I think I will start with the 1000rpm springs and go from there because its not even in its power range when its wheeling. Te NCY ones are only $10 shipped. As long as it doesnt hurt my top speed , which I dont see how it could, then I will be cool with it : )

Clutch springs should never change top speed.

It will not let the motor deaccel tho will it? Like when I let off the gas its not gonna slow it down anymore, just drop to idle, right?

You prob won't notice much change with 1,000RPM springs other than the launch. Some of mine will release when I let off, but most don't. I think the CVT needs to be sapced so it's not always squeezing the belt in the vari.

Did some work to the scoot yesterday. Gave her a much needed bath!
I also took apart the transmisson. I cleaned and lubed the rollers & variator assembly.I put my old modded variator face on from the old motor(modified for better take off as well as more top end. The faces will let the belt ride lower for take off and also squeeze together tighter for higher top speed).
I also took the rear apart to clean out the junk chinese grease in the bearing and put nice stuff in. Sanded the clutch pads in hopes that they will bite more and also sanded inside the clutch housing, where the pads ride.
I changed my oil and am now running fully synthetic 10w40 and running fully synthetic 70w90 in the rearend.
She should fly now!!

Probably did some stuff that I should not have today...but hey it was raining !! lol I modded my trans some more. I removed some material from the fan , making it thinner like the race fans. Also drilled a few holes in the (spare) clutch bell where the pads ride. Any suggestions on what else to do??? Besides the clutch arm springs... (left stock)
