Got it all together this afternoon and went for a 10 mile ride,now this is how a scooter should run!55mph cruise in my hilly area was wonderful.Take off is a bit slower,but not much,didnt go over 60 as this build is new and final tuning is yet to be done.Nice to cruise with traffic and not worry about bottlenecking cars!

Sounds like you've met your initial goal. Keep us updated when you decide to pull the throttle all the way back for a bit. ;D

Got my bar set up on today,its a poor boy version,kiddie mountain bike bars modded to fit the clamp,lexan 'instrument panel' with the dollar speedo and nickel tach; Took it for another 10 mile break in ride,gotta watch my speed as 55 is the limit out here!Dropped the needle 1 notch and replaced the rollers from 5g to 6.5g,took it for another spin,carb is cleaner,but didnt like the 6.5's as they shifted too fast.Here is how she looks with the new bars; I plan on making a "fly screen" out of tinted lexan to go in front of the bars soon...

Looks nice. I think you need a bar end mirror to complete the look though.

Got some time to tune the 103 on our holiday,Rechecked my pipe dimensions and found I'd made a 20mm error on thr midsection length,so I pulled the pipe to fix that decided to pull the cylinder to check my EX port width,wanted to open it to 62% chord width,(33.45mm),heck it was already 34mm's!Put the jug back on,cut the pipes spacer off 20mm's and welded it back up,installed and went for a test ride,sadly about the same.Thought I'd try some lighter rollers,removed the 6.5's and installed 4.5's,nother test ride,better!removed the 103 pipe and installed my ragged test pipe with the inverted stinger and dual outlet muffler,nother test ride,YEE HA!She's strong now!I'm thinking my 103 headpipe is too long and too shallow of a taper which I'll redo next time I have TIME! Here is a pic of the old test pipe ;

I like the test pipe anyway. It's unique. ;D I'm surprised to hear such light rollers work. I have had no luck with rollers that light on either of my big blocks.

I got around to making a new headpipe and 1st stage diffuser today for the 103,it fought me the whole way!Some of my ugliest pipes have run well,this one should run great! Here is a side by side shot,its a big difference as the old is .6 degrees and new is 1.4 degrees; Didnt get to do a test as it snowed all day today!(thats a wierd thing in S.C.,maybe "global warming"??)

That's funny...I was just asked this morning if I'd heard anything about Al Gore this morning (as I was removing snow from the driveway).
