That's funny...I was just asked this morning if I'd heard anything about Al Gore this morning (as I was removing snow from the driveway).   I bet he is hiding......Hmmmm...

Got in a test ride after work and can say the 103 likes the fatter headpipe,it pulls stronger and has a nice hit when it gets "on the pipe".A 1.6 degree would likely even do better, might try that on a rainy day...

That looks great to me John! Pulls to 62MPH with ease. I'd say you're about there. If you want the best launch, it looks like you might wanna try the next step up on clutch spring stiffness to get rid of that little bit of lag off the line. Either that or lighten the shoes just a bit. You'll have to ride it like you normally will to see what you want. Sometimes the "tame" clutch engagement is more desirable for normal riding. That's assuming you are getting full travel with the belt. If the belt isn't getting all the way down in the front pulley, figure out how to make that work first (spacers, filing) and you'll see a big change in takeoff power.
Other than that, just adjust roller weight till it sticks at whatever rev range you like or for max performance. BTW, what's it revving out to now? Can't really see past idle.

Thanks Brent! The crappy tach quits at 7500..I'd love to find a cheap CVT setup with much larger pulleys..That RS100 clutch pulley half I installed looks like the perfect size,if a vari could be found that fits and is that size,I think it would be a complete package!!

103 UPDATE;As y'all know, the 103 has become my 'testbed' for many whackey ideas, some have worked out, some not..Here are some of the later mods; The Minarelli and most all scoots have many short comings to get top performance,Hey!they were built to putt around in crowded cities around the world, and we are trying to get super power from them!! :banghead: Here is my tech drawback list; Whimpy crankshaft, short connecting rod, tiny transfer ports, even smaller reed valves, cylinder studs too narrow for decent exhaust port, skimpy exhaust ports, flimsy crankcases,Heck!I could go on for hours!!As my buddy always says"It is what it is",soo we must make the best of what we have to work with.. I started working on a larger reed box that bolts to the existing flange a while back, tried to keep it simple as its easier to throw simple stuff in the 'dud pile' than if its "CNC Billet Titanium"! I used a YZ85 reed cage and fabbed the box from sheet metal; Had to use a long elbow for the intake to connect the old 28mm Keihin I had laying around(the CanAm MX bikes used long intakes and were very fast); It runs well with this setup..Also have went back into the topend and worked with the Ex port a good bit,its now 194* durartion,65% chord width, and has a 30mm outlet. Dug out the old UTP(ugly test pipe) and gave it a new slip fit 30mm flange..Here it is today, not nice to look at,but it'll smoke the tire!! :thumb:

You sure do some cool stuff John. Love the sound of that test pipe. Never bolted anything to one of my scoots that sounded better IMO.
