I unscrewed the boot from the cable and cut the cable basically in half so it had a nice short distance from coil to plug. Don't know if it helped- or if it'll help u out- just an idea I guess...

Not a bad idea Niz. The boot is new too but it's the only thing I didn't check. I'll have to do that before I spend the money on another coil or just put on one of the stock ones I have with the NGK boot.

The Naraku 2 terminal looks an awful lot like the red hot scrappy coil they offer for the GY6. Since it's no longer grounded to the frame like the 1 pin, you could try tying in a short ground wire to the bracket. I kinda doubt it will help unless there's some sort of wiring or poor grounding issue to the harness.

I'll check the boot and if the weather clears up take the scoot to look for a spacer for the retro and see if it changes. Otherwise it a waisted $35

Doing some tuning, test runs and trying out a video app that displays gps info. I hit 69 mph in a tuck just after 5 minutes and still had a couple more mph in the bike but I totally failed to line up a curve approaching a car in my outside lane. I made a temporary phone holder mounted to the bars.

Sorry the video is sideways. I told you I was computer challenged. lol. The wind was gusty and swirling yesterday. I'll do more when it calms down.

Well crap. My fuel tank is leaking. I used jbweld on a crack I caused rethreading the fuel tap to npt some time ago. Anyone have a Triton clone tank?

I think i do? I can look in the morning.. Nice vid.. Its hard to get the speed in the vid like that for me. I can tell on your return run your scoot has that 74MPH in it but the way it hit 69. Good work! Be safe!

I'd like to try and repair this tank since I've already tapped it to 1/4 npt. It's got a hair line crack that is away from the tap weld. I used jbweld last time but I'm thinking I opened the crack back up tightening the fitting on it. So I'd have that on and tight before I try to repair the crack. Is there something better for this than jbweld?

Dave- I've been using "Quicksteel" Steel reinforced epoxy putty. Sets in 5 minutes. Full cure in 1 hour. It says it's impervious to chemicals and good to 500 degrees.. blah blah blah. It does list gas tank repair as one of the things to use it for on the back. I have no idea if it's any better than JBweld...
