Tank started leaking again. That's the bad news. The good is I just started a new job and the toy budget looks good in the near future. So my thoughts are: Yasuni C21 or 30. I've read they're are very similar and a good match for my setup. MVT digital direct iggy Dellorto 21 phbg. I'd go bigger but I'm not ready to chop it up or go rear facing yet and it's tight for room.
Any experience or thoughts are great.

C20-21 and C30 are for high rev, wild ported stuff! They are short and fat, only work well with full race stuff..

I hear you John. I don't understand pipe dynamics at all. Just going by what I read for what that's worth. I know they are higher revving and I'm okay with that. After all there's a stump pulling, wheelie machine parked right next to it. The ultimate idea is still a LC R/T but that'll come after the retro build.

Dave,If the cylinder is say "midrace" and a "race" pipe is installed, the short/fat pipe will suck the mixture through, but cant return the 'plug' of headpipe mixture due to too small Exhaust port duct/dimensions..Its all gotta match up well or we waste power that should there for the taking..Our scooter engines have us handcuffed due to verrry dated designs,so all we can do is try to combine the parts as best we can!!

Sounds like I'm at a wall. Jumping to a race cylinder is going to zap my street ability and reliability. The retro would need to be done for that.

I can say from experience that a race cylinder like mine isn't meant for the streets lol it just wants to fly all the time anywhere past 9k and it's dangerous to keep it out of the power band....if II didn't have so much money in I would go more your route.... Just my 2 cents... But man evo power!

I thought I could raise durations on the MKII Race for the higher revving pipe. Maybe I do the iggy and call it good.

I have no personal experience with the stage 6 racing cylinders together with a yasuni c20,21,30. But my thoughts are they are just a bit too much. Maybe if you'd bump up those porttimings up it would be better. But when you're planning to keep the cilinder stock i would seek power elsewhere.

So I broke down and ordered a new fuel tank since my second repair failed. I failed to notice the new tank used a fuel sensor/float that attached to the tank with a lock ring rather than the four bolts like all the others I've seen. I ordered a sensor for a 150cc with the lock ring figuring I'd mod the arm but it's a three wire versus the stock two wire. So if anyone knows where to find a lock ring fuel sending unit for a Triton clone please post it.

Here's a pic of the fuel tap I used. I tapped the inside this time to 1/8 npt and found a 1/8 npt 1/4" hose barb 90* at Ace Hardware. Ace was my last stop after gathering a collection of brass and bronze and some 5/8" fuel line. $55 worth of crap I returned but wanted to make sure I had what I needed and I had 3 different mouse traps in mind. Here's what I ended up with after deciding to try Ace when I wasn't happy with 2 lbs of fittings on my tank.

Here's a pic of the new tank and where the sending unit drops in.

I thought I'd bend and cut the float arm on the new unit to match the stock one but I found I could switch arms instead. It's in the tank but the wiring is wrong so no fuel gauge right now. It did read backwards with one combination of wires.

Great solution you came up with! I really like the 90 degree fitting. I picked up one of those tanks a while back for a future project, so please post your solution to the fuel sending unit when you figure it out.
