About ready to throw in the towel on this motor. Blew out the damn oil seal AGAIN, the one behind the variator. No warning signs or anything, I just check under the CVT cover two days ago and it was dry. Today on my way to work not even 2 miles from the house the rpms shot up to 9 grand and that's what happened last time. So I shut it down and sure enough the oil started to pour out of the CVT cover. If this shit keeps up I'm going back to the stock motor it looks like.

How is your crankcase vented? No lines pinched or anything? Still got good compression?

Compression seems fine, it starts like a champ and no running issues. The only vent us the valve cover and it's not pinched cause that the first thing I always check when I put the seat on always. Thinking about adding the vent tube to that replaces the dipstick to see if that helps.

So I replaced the seal and just like before it is getting sucked towards the motor and resting against the timing gear. Any ideas on what could cause that, the best tube is clear and not pinched but if it was wouldn't it be popping the seal outwards? Never had this problem with seals so it has me stumped.

Just thinking when you remove the dipstick it blow outwards when running. But seal is sucking in on the timing chain. You change the seal on the stator side. I would make a vent on the stator side that holds the seal towards the top of that casing then thru the top like your stator wires with a filter up higher in the frame.

I'll check in the morning. When I replaced the seal on the stator side everything seated up good and tight.

Worth a shot. Whether it's sucking in or blowing out seals I'd think giving the +/- pressure a place to go could help. You may wanna go with a filter on the end of it rather than just that little aluminum piece if it works.

My crank is shot, got to work yesterday and something didn't seem right so took the CVT cover off and grabbed the drive plate and it wiggled, went to turn it to turn the crank and it just free spun without the crank moving. So today I took it off and the splines on the plate and crank are stripped. I'll post pictures as soon as I can
