Round two, this time I WILL be taking me time working on it but by 10am I should have my new motor on my doorstep. Just sucks I have to work, so when I get home I'll go a head and prep the motor in the house and have it ready to mount on the bike Friday morning and run a few miles before work to seat the rings. Then this weekend I'm gonna try an dial the HOKA carb in.

No not yet, I was checking out scrappy Dogg and noticed he has a o'clock valve that hooks up at the end of the vent hose. Thinking of getting it to work out the case pressure.

Troll, Have you talked to STG about your issues the stroker? Do you think this is an ongoing problem or this is fixable? I need to rebuild my scoot and think this the way I want to go if it is reliable as I need more power(250 lbs not a little boy anymore). But I don't need to throw money at it if this not a reliable engine. I ride about 5000-6000 km a yr. just for fun and I'm over 60 yr old so if you think a big bore 80cc would be a better fit I would appreciate the advice. Frank (farmer 54)

I love this motor, just ordered my second one. I did receive it with damage to the box from the Post Office and it was there fault, after putting the motor together the oil pump gear shredded to pieces from the crank getting jarred. I called STG and there replacing it. The problem I had with the first one I did not taking my time with it and rushing. The setup I'm running is great, a little higher gear would be a little better but I can deal with what I have. It's well worth it though.

Received my replacement motor today, thanks STG for the awesome customer service over this whole ordeal. Took my time assembling it and lowered my main jet from a 110 to a 105, setup is the same as before except for the HOKA carb and it is running like a bat out of hell and a lot smoother then before. Ran it for about 10 miles at half throttle then stopped and topped off the tank, on the way home there's a good straight away so I opened it up for a good 1/4 to 1/2 a mile WOT. Half is at 43MPH and WOT clocked at 62MPH. I was never able to hit these numbers with the stock carb with a 40 slow jet and 100 main, now I'm running the 26mm HOKA with 44 slow and 105 main. I'm going to run this setup for a couple of weeks and then post a review in my thread, thinking about going up a gear after I run this one for awhile.

Hey Troll it sounds like that engine has a big pair of ba__s if you can get GPS verified 63 mph I think I've made a decision on the stroker engine. I'll be watching for updates. Frank(farmer54)

I'll be posting more, gonna give it a few 100 miles and see how it does. I'm gonna change the gear later to a 49/17 and see how that does. Truthfully I think it's the carb that did it for me.

Well I'm about 500 miles in on this one and she is running great. Still tinkering with the carb some, had the needle setup high and the plug was black so I dropped it down a notch and will check it this weekend. I'm averaging just over 150 miles a week on it so I figure that's a good bit of mile between checking the plug. Thinking of installing a set of 7gr sliders to drop my take off rpm's a hair, it's running right at if not a bit over 8000 at take off and runs from 7000 at half to 8200 at WOT. Also contemplating on switching the gear to 49\17. Right now though I'm happy with it, also installed some Dr. Pulley sliders on the back plate of the variator and they are standing up to heat and hell I put it through. I suggest to anyone if your going through them trey them out.

Don't know, thinking about running it in the Spring Nationals next April so I'll probably start messing with times and CVT setup around January. Right now I'm using as an everyday ride so I try not to push it too much.
