Ya there has been some major changes to the motor,i had lost compression so the first thing that came to mind was the rings. So I ordered a 72cc BBk from Enviromoto and replaced the the top-end and head, come to find out the problem is the head, the ex valve was stuck open barely after doing a liquid test. So the new setup is a 72cc on the stroker crank, stock carb, 38 slow and 90main, 8 gram sliders. I've been running it for two weeks, first week I ran a 95 main and the plug was just getting blackish so I dropped a 90 in it to run for this week, going to pull the plug and check it this weekend, also thinking of going with a 40 slow cause I had to run the adjustment out almost 4 turns. To tell the truth I like the way the 72 runs on the stroker then a 85. I did put the 85 up just if I need a top-end then I'll do a valve job or buy a NCY head to run on it. I'm going to get the carb setup right then I plan on tuning the drivetrain on it. Haven't GPSed it yet but once I get done I will and post the results.

o wow well u know im not far lol and yea craps old already seems to have snowed all in the last like 3 weeks. my cabin fever is kicking in roflmao

Really hoping this works out for you. I have the same model taotao and have been thinking of doing some of the same things to mine. Would be nice to have something to go off of. Good luck.

motors great, the scoots down right now and stripped apart and probably will be till next spring/summer. Want to sand and repaint everything but with my new job it's going to be a slow process. Just sucks, no riding this year for me unless I buy a stock 50 just to ride around or since I have my license might get a 150.
