A set of stiff clutch springs should be ok with the standard clutch. Would probably give about 6K engagement. I already have the stage 6 clutch I pulled of my wife’s Buddy. She doesn’t appreciate it and I put the clutch with stiff springs back on. It engages around 4500rpm and is probably better for her riding style. I ordered a new bell for the Zuma. I have a feeling this ones gonna need very high revs. With the overrange installed, I’m supposed to grind the upper and lower ribs on the case, but it looks like there is very little grinding needed. At this point, I’m just waiting on UPS to get me my parts. To do list: Grind case ribs for OR kit Install S6 cylinder Install new throttle cable and put a stop in the throttle tube Install new intake Install new carb Install pipe 1st start and heat cycles Rough carb tuning 1st break in ride with carb tuning in mind

I only had minimal grinding to do to make the stage 6 over range fit. Hopefully yours will be the same. The sport pro makes peak power between 9-10,500 rpm, but very little below 7,500. So will be worth fitting a clutch that's up to the job. 👍

The whole moped vs motorcycle thing in PA irks me. I live in York, PA and when registering my Keeway I was asked “what’s the cc’s?” I replied “I think like 49.7? Under 50cc” The notary said “that rounds up to 50.” Came back with some MC tags and sent me on my way. I dunno the rules except for the “under 50cc-no MC license required” rule in PA. I’m quite happy to scoot around on mine. When I get pulled over I’ll argue it I guess at the magistrate’s office.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. Gonna bookmark the build and follow along.

I’m quite happy to scoot around on mine. When I get pulled over I’ll argue it I guess at the magistrate’s office. Anyway, sorry for the rant. Gonna bookmark the build and follow along. Yeah. The first person I spoke to at the title and tag place asked what size and I said “50cc”. Then she said 50cc or higher is a motorcycle. So I then had to reverse myself and say it’s 49.7cc or whatever they do to conform. But because it was previously registered as a motorcycle, the vin was associated with that. So I called the original title place that did the transfer and she offered to send a correction form requesting it to be characterized as a moped. I didn’t receive a yes or no, but when I went back to title it, accepting it as a motorcycle title, the state had already changed it. Plus, the new agent knew about the rules for mopeds in PA. Funny thing is, I called a few dealers and they seem to do it differently in Philly then in Scranton. Technically, anything with a motorcycle plate needs to be inspected, where mopeds don’t. The Philly dealer said they get motorcycle plates and don’t worry about inspections. The Scranton dealer said moped plate and no inspection needed. My fear would be having a motorcycle plate and having to explain to an officer the laws. Because depending on the officer, they could give you a hard time. Glad I got the moped registration. They were out of plates, though. So I needed to transfer from my Tao Tao. But, I’m selling that soon.

The case ribs have been shaved for the overrange belt clearance. Barely needed any space.
Also, I drilled and tapped a bolt into the throttle to create a stop for the single pull throttle cable.
Should get the clutcg bell in today and then all the parts on Wednesday. Gotta work Wed, but it’s my birthday. Hopefully will get it done that evening.

Got everything installed besides the exhaust. I need an exhaust gasket and the Yasuni C16 looks like it’s not compatible with my center stand. Probably need a side stand and a plan for getting it installed. It doesn’t seem to line up so well.
I did start it for a few seconds without the exhaust. Sounds loud! Can’t wait! Almost ready to ride!
Edit: Planning to use my hitch mounted scooter carrier and ratchet straps to hold it up while I install the exhaust and heat cycle it. Setting alarm for early tomorrow. Gotta get a jump on it.

Yes unfortunately the C16 requires the removal of the centre stand. That's why some people prefer the City 16.

I woke up early this morning hoping to get some stuff done before work. Standing it on my scooter carrier wont work unless it’s hooked up to my truck, but it’s raining. So I have it ratchet strapped to the beams in my garage. That seemed to work, but gotta figure out a more permanent solution. I’m really used to working on scoots on the center stand. I come close to tipping them otherwise.
I found an old exhaust gasket, and used that to start getting the exhaust aligned. I got it 90% installed before I had to leave for work. Yasuni has terrible instructions, and they set me back an hour because the mounting bracket had to be reversed on the exhaust mounts from what they were showing in the diagram.
I brought my throttle to work to tweak the stop. There’s too much reverse play. So I matched up some nuts and filled the void with them.
It’s a long work day today, so hopefully I’ll get an hour of light when I’m out. That’s about all I’ll need.

I use a stand like this for working on my prebug without a center stand. It's quick to go up or down. I'll use it underneath the frame in front of the engine.

A wheel chock for motorcycles might work. You can get some that lock the wheel as you roll it in. It would keep it upright while you work on it.
I've never read the Yasuni instructions. I just mount the pipe loosely, the work it out from there. 🙈

She’s running!
I have a box that was holding it up, but for some reason it’s very tipsy.

So after thinking my diy throttle stop was messed up somehow, it turns out the throttle cable just has too much slack. Gotta figure out how to get some slack out. All my adjusters are maxed.

I wound up making a new throttle cable. Ace hardware had a 10-speed bike replacement cable kit. I have aluminum crush swags so I shortened the jacket, cut the cable and swagged a new end on it.
