What he said. I have a similar build top performance black kit, dell 17.5, yasuni r, malossi variator. I couldn’t get to around 2mm with the factory drive face but the malossi face got me there. I was running 4g rollers in the factory variator. I ended up having the best luck with what the malossi variator came with. 7g rollers & the white spring. Lighter rollers & it revved super high & was a turd. I also 2nd the torsion control to add a little extra tension. I wasn’t getting full travel with the yellow spring after the variator.

I am using the Malossi drive face that came with the overrange kit. I just put in an average of 4.5g rollers with the oem spring and got 4.5mm travel remaining using sharpie test. That matches my best showing and still keeps the revs in the 11k range where I want them. This may be the permanent setup.
One funny thing I noticed is that my overrange box was marked “upgraded Polini belt included”. It’s the Evolution Aramid Belt 248-40-2( size 785-18-28 ).I’m not sure what the original Malossi belt size is, but since I’m not getting full drive side or clutch side travel (-4.5mm)maybe it has to do with the belt length. I wonder if it’s COVID (everything out of stock)related. Because it’s odd Malossi would go to a competitor to provide their belt.

Using 4.5g rollers and oem spring. I really like the feel now. I also dropped my needle clip one spot and the pull is great! I may have lost a touch of top end, but variator travel looks similar, so I may see if changing the main jet gives me any more top end.
Its really hard to test because it goes so fast I cant be WOT for long.
Interestingly, my cht dropped considerably. Was in the mid 200’s and is now low 200’s. Thinking I could potentially lean out the main.

Did a rear end mod. Got rid of the turn signal arms and replaced them with turn signals on the taillight.

I hit 62.8mph today. It was my first venture onto our local expressway. It was a little intimidating at first, but now that I can safely ride on it, I can make it up to my other scooting friends house to ride without having to load it onto the scooter lift.

60 plus mph is a pretty exclusive club on a zuma I would run a video for the speed list and post your mods so you others can use yours as a model

It’s warming up outside! What to do, what to do?
Fancy paint? Wrap? More speed? Decisions, decisions…

I purchased the Malossi belt specified for the overrange kit. I was using a Polini belt which I assumed to not be the optimal belt. Well, the Malossi belt was way too long and slipped a bunch. Put the Polini back in. Guess it’s the better option.
