I ordered a bunch of parts from ScooterTuning - CP21, main and pilot jets, cable, grip, etc. I also ordered a Koso XR-SR speedo unit, handlebar, and stem. I'm going to get all of this installed and ride it a bit before I decide what route I want to go with the CVT. I'm really leaning towards a Malossi overrange, but that pricetag is holding me back from impulse buying it. Anyways, while I wait for parts to show up, I decided to give the ol nugget a makeover with some fresh paint. I hear you on the price of the OR. Honestly though, once you start digging into the cvt you easily blow 300+ on different variators weights springs and belts looking for the right setup. The OR is a one and done of the best of the best.

Awesome, thanks for all the info everyone! I'm going to go ahead and order a CP 21 today along with supporting parts. I might as well order a variator at the same time. Now I just have to decide if I should just get a "sport" variator by itself, or order an overrange kit since I know I'll end up there eventually anyways... Go over range it's worth it's weight in gold. I avoided it for a long time because of the price. But once I took that step I'm glad I did. Highly highly recommend it.

Maybe still too rich. It sounds stupid and unrelated, but check all your grounds make sure you have solid engine grounds or it could cause all kinds of problems.

Been an autotech since 2006 and my favorites are. Wrenches, screwdrivers, torx, and Allen's, snap-on is the best imo Sockets Mac (precision torque line) Ratchets matco. I take other stuff on a case by case basis. The air tools and electric tools are usually outsourced so I shop around for those since they only carry a two year warranty anyway. Example, my nitro cat 1/2 inch impact is the same as Mac just Mac rebranded it and marked it up. My otc slide hammer set is also the exact same as Mac, just 1/3 the price... All the stuff I use at home for the most part is crapsman or harbor freight, it holds up OK for home use, however, I wouldn't trust my paycheck on craftsman or harbor freight.

Oh man. We gotta start a firearms thread here! I've been thinking about a 22 for how cheap the ammo is. I've been looking at a browning. All the shops here in California are toooo busy with this covid scare. So I'll stay away for now until things calm down

How's this thing doing? I'm going to go back and reread this thread, I've been contemplating manning up and doing an rc one or a big Evo or something.

The petcock is on, works great and doesn't leak. I had some time today in between rain showers to do some carb tuning and now I'm all the way down to a 95 main and the bike is waking up!! I guess this thing just isn't as thirsty as I thought it would be. With the 95 main I held it wide open for about 1.5 miles and Temps peaked at 310 (55 degree day today) , I think I have a little more room to go leaner and extract more performance, but I don't want to push it with this aluminum cylinder, I'm not too sure what seize territory is on this thing. I'm getting closer now, no top speed reading yet I'll wait for a clearer day for that, but this thing pulls pretty decent. A new front caliper is here too so that'll be next because this old one intermittently sticks. Any input on Temps would be great from those experienced with the aluminum cylinders.
