This thing landed today. I'm new to aluminum cylinders, what Temps should I be afraid of on this thing?

A couple more tidbits while I wait on the petcock valve. New oem cap. The rusted out original was just begging to be relieved of duty. New horn, the original didn't work.

Hey PIGWhich size handle bar stem are you using on this bike? The taller or the shorter one?

Thankyou for the kind words! The paint job really did come out nice but I can't take credit for that, the guys at the body shop really came through. aeroxbud lower bars are on my list and would really compliment the bike. That'll come later though. First things first, I need to get this thing ripping like it should. I had a little time to do some tuning today, I started with a 110 main and it was so rich it barely ran, it was choking on feul. Now I'm at a 103 and it still is rich but I ran into a hump, and I'm dealing with fuel delivery issues. The petcock is clogged in the on position and somewhat flows in the on position, I'd be pissing in the wind trying to jet in these conditions... So a new oem valve is on the way and then the carb tuning will continue.

Also, I managed to pop the tube on the rear tire when installing it, so a new one is in the mail. I freakin hate tubes, they are the bane of my existence

New cluster and clutch lever have been fitted, the original cluster had broken needles, and the plastic was foggy. The lever was fine but the powder coating was weathered off so a nice new Purdy NOS oem honda lever has been fitted. Also layed the wiring harness and I'm happy to report all the items that should work with the key on engine off do indeed work, super happy with that. Moving on to the engine I have a bunch of treats from the land of treats. Malossi 70cc kit, k-star 70cc head, malossi intake mani, dell 21, boyesen reeds, new front sprocket to compliment the rear, mlm chamber, and a mvt mini rotor ignition which will go on later, and an oil pump block off plate. Ngk cr2 for good measure, ohh, and a replacement tach cable, mvt ignition cool as well, which is not pictured, it's already on the bike. More coming soon!

If she is anything like my wife. She won't be surprised! Should go quickly from here. LOL. She wasn't, and you're correct. Moving right along. Speedo cable was trashed so a new one has been fitted. New tires were fitted after I cleaned up the rims a little bit, sava mc7's 2.75-18 and 3.25-18 front and rear respectively. That 3.25 on the rear is a tight fit and as big I would assume one could go, it's really close to the brake linkages. New sprocket in the stock ratio, the front sprocket will go on later. After I route the wiring harness and finish up a few other odds n ends, I'll move on to "building" the engine and getting it hung.... Moving right along.

Maybe you can go to a rear facing carb setup. The clear bowl looks sick but it may leak if you use it for the long haul. Love how this thing is coming along

I've never done it myself or seen one in person. From what I hear a 12 will fit but you would need to shave away the portion of the case with the bolt holes for mounting the exhaust pipe. Then from there you have to get creative with exhaust mounting.
