Just gonna start a very slow moving thread. No real need to document my progress thus far, all the things I've done have already been well documented by others. However I'm happy to answer questions, here's how she sits today. More updates as time allows... Life

80skid79 that is the reed I used. And this is the spacer I used www.treatland.tv/plastic-reed-block-riser-for-hackers-p/plastic-reed-block-riser.htmI just had to enlarge the holes on the reed block to get it to fit. Once you get it in your hands you'll see what needs to be done. It's pretty simple process, use hondabond to help prevent any leaks when putting it together. Also be very careful when tightening with that plastic spacer, it'll crack pretty easily. Hope this helps.

Treatland has a nice one that looks stock and has replaceable bulbs. Go for 60 watt replacement bulb the 35 blows out super easy.

Hi Iām looking at a similar bike with a similar āno sparkā issue. Would you be able to point me in the right direction? You can email me at neal (dot) friedant (at) gmail (dot) com It turned out mine had spark. So I never chased a no spark issue, but I'm glad to help and offer info where I can.

Is that a Sportster? Iām still somewhat tossing around the idea of buying an early 90ās Sportster with an Evo and tearing it down and rebuilding it. Cool motors and motorcycles. Yessir!

I have an arrow pipe for my setup but one of the springs broke and it was leaking like crazy. So I put the pg short back on and it runs better imo so I'm in no rush to put the arrow back in service. I'm running a corsa, stock crank, Naraku intake, oko 24 with an uni pod filter, Polini variator, Dr pulley hit clutch (107mm), and 8.4:1 gearing. It rips and has been as reliable as the sun. Hey what are your plans with the Arrow exhaust, if you still have it? I was looking at the arrow and I really like the looks of them Sold it to my buddy.

That is a noticeable improvement down .2 mm . Run it as is and see how you like it . I used glass plate and sand paper to bring mine down farther Did you address the combustion chamber or just the squish band. How did it affect your compression?

Not perfect but as good as it gets without machining the head or risking the transfers not lining up at bdc

Update. I heard a noise coming from the rear wheel, a growling noise, I figured I would get to it later but I went for a ride and this happened The bolts backed out and all the gear oil leaked out and made a mess. Chewed up the gear cover and the primaries oh well. New gear cover, gears and bearings on order.

So today I learned I still have a lot to learn. I installed and dialed in my trailtech vapor and learned my bike was running incredibly hot, topping out after wot runs at 420F... Yikes... I thought I had this all figured out tuning by "ear" and by "feel".. Pshh I know nothing, I'm humbled and couldn't be more thrilled about it.. I'm surprised this thing never seized, the fact it could stand up to my lack of tuning abilities and still run is a testament to the quality of this cylinder. I went from a 100 mj, which I thought was the sweet spot, all the way up to a 118 before Temps were kept in check on long wot pulls, and now she runs waaaaaay better. Just want to say I'm happy to be a part of this community of skilled and knowledgeable people I guess. Thanks yall. I'm glad I learned this lesson now before I toasted a hyper race setup and ended up bankrupt. Anyways here's a view from the cockpit, more pics and details coming soon.
