After a few minutes it felt fine. I’ll get another for peak summer but this should do for 90% of the time. I keep seeing people on bikes with shorts and tee’s and thinking of the consequences of the mom in the minivan texting her babysitter. It makes you feel better when your around a bunch of other cars.

Take a look on Craigslist for used kids gear. Just like bikes and wetsuits, they get bought and used very little

I would rather be hot with a jacket on. And still have my skin. With the vents open on the back of the jacket, you should get a good breeze through. I find unless I am riding at low speed through traffic. I stay quite cool with a jacket on.

Checkout the aerostitch r3. I bought one about 6mos ago and I absolutely love it. It has become my go to gear now.

Looks good, but try to read as many reviews as you can find. Windscreens can be hit or miss. Unfortunately they also work different depending on where exactly you are relative to it based on height and position. That's why I suggest to read many reviews and try to see if any of them are much different than other options with user satisfaction. Based on the maufacturer's site, it's 5 of 5 stars, but it's always nice to see info from less biased sites.

When I got my first named bike, the wind blast was an eye opener. It is something you get used to, if you ride enough. I used to regularly do two hours on the freeway at 90. Was not a problem. Funny thing is I have not ridden much in the last year. As I got told not to ride anymore. Only about a 1,000 miles over six months. Suddenly found this wind blast everyone was moaning about!

120 mile round trip with a buddy today. Stopped by a brewery for lunch (no beer when riding) I did grab a 32oz can for a later date. Harley’s were holding up traffic on 2 different occasions. One waved us by because he knew he was slow. I’ll get a video together a little later. It was a good day for it. It’s nice to not even worry about fuel.

Here is a little video from the other day. YouTube and my phone aren’t playing well so the quality is down. Just enjoy some twisties. I just topped it off again and it’s average is 60mpg. As soon as I get an oil filter I’ll change it and start getting abusive with it, I’m just under 400 mi.

I’ll just add this here... I was leaving a brewery this evening watching a Harley with a dead battery try to get jumped and it wasn’t working too well. I muttered should of bought a Yamaha. That didn’t go well with his ego. His girl seemed like she would entertain the option. Good times!

I have been on the other end of that. While pushing my Mustang into a parking spot after it died (distributor failing when hot), some kid in a ricer went by and yelled "Shoulda bought a Honda". lol Now it's funny, but I wasn't digging it while already mad at the car and pushing it.

Looks great! Those signals are tiny. Sport-styled bikes look so much better without the rear fender/mudguard. OEMs can't do this stuff because of pesky laws and functionality. At least here in MD, I don't think you can pass an (honest) inspection with signals like that. I've wanted to take my fender off of the TMAX since I got it, but didn't really want the dirty road spray line up my back if I ride on a wet road or the debris that it slings up on dirt roads sometimes. I believe that's also required by law here. I don't think they bug people about fenders or signals unless they're just looking for a reason to stop you, but it still keeps the OEMs from making bikes that look better stock.
