I have been sitting at home trying to figure out where to get food when I run out in a couple days. I am 66 with health issues so if I get the virus I am dead. There still seems to be a lot of people out driving around.
Do you have any neighbors or family members that might be able to help you out?
This situation sucks. Many people in my area seem to be staying at home. Not enough. If only we all had enough food and supplies to hang out at home for 2 weeks. I think we could get through this rather quickly if everyone helped each other out.
I'm scared as hell that my grandmother, who recently had her first chemo treatment (damn near killed her, put her in ICU for a while) might catch this. My neighbor has COPD, I've been helping him out with getting food and whatnot. I'm mostly hanging out at home, avoiding people, washing my hands, not touching my face. Mostly trying to protect those at greater risk. I hope we're over this soon.

Finally found the problem. It was so simple, I feel silly. The throttle cable's exposed length (where it hooks into the Carb) was too short. Even with the cable's adjustment all the way in, too short. The slide/needle would never seat fully.

That pic from the 24th...who put carrot juice in that thing? It must have a steel tank?
I've had luck with BBs or even gravel (and water) inside of tanks followed by lots of shaking and rinsing to clean them out. Got the gas tank on a 68 Kawasaki c2ss free of rust using BBs. Gravel made the coolant reserve on my Daytona look like a new bottle.
Sounds like you've taken care of it though. I'd still like to see the trike stripped down. Thanks for the update!

Same project as on the 28th. I did a valve adjustment and carb tear down and cleaning and now it's good to go. Just need to figure out the belt(s) routing now. Heck, $70 for this riding mower seems like a good deal to me.

My buddy's Huskee lawn tractor is torn down. He picked it up for $75. 18hp OHV Briggs engine. Starter couldn't crank it past the compression stroke. Even while jumped with a car. With the spark plug out it will crank all day long.
Read up on it, apparently the centrifugal compression release on the cam is a common failure. At no/low engine speed the release "creates" a bump on the intake cam lobe,so that the valve is blipped open on the compression stroke. This failure is known to cause this condition. Tore it down, surprisingly it's still intact and appears to be functioning. Maybe I should have started with a valve adjustment check lol. Sometimes I get ahead of myself. We shall see...

The front frame bent from normal street use. I never had it off road. I have 5,537Km on the scoot but the frame has been bent for some time. It is my opinion as an engineer that any sort of pounding on a trail would literally fold up parts of the front frame. Be careful if you ride it over rough terrain. Failure could be sudden and catastrophic. When the time comes I intend to just part mine out.
The frame's weak links, do you feel it's something that could be strengthened reasonably easily with a welder and a bit of steel? I'm simply talking for street use.

Sounds similar to my experience with a dinli dino atv. Mine was simply a clogged exhaust silencer.
I suggest you remove the exhaust and see if it idles. Maybe it can't exhale. I wouldn't suggest riding it like this (very sensitive to simple changes that change flow/ air:fuel ratio)
